Over at the Fish-In-Barrel shoot known as GameFAQs, there's a thread regarding the yet-to-be released in America horror/survial game "Rule of Rose" (Which I only know from the promos shown on Cinematech: Nocturnal Emissions, but from that and what I've read, it sounds like cross between Haunting Ground and Bully, with creeeeepy little girls as the antagonists).

The topic starts out discussing the games level of bloodiness and main character Jennifer's status among the most helpless Survivor/Horror heroines.

Then out pops user gloomysunday with this nugget o' wisdom: ...Jennifer is not just weak, she is quite stupid too. (Quote is in the middle of the page)

PokerNemesis replies (most would say tongue-in-cheek): You just say that because you are in love with Amanda. (Apparently, gloomysunday has stated that she liked Amanda

Now, you might think this is going to turn into some sort of character bashing session.

Oh, nothing quite so mundane!

The exact quote has been deleted (which happens quite a bit through this thread), but in a nutshell:

gloomysunday: ZOMG HOW DARE YOU CALL ME A LESBIAN!
Other readers: Whut?
PokerNemesis: Umm... I didn't even know you were a she!

The best parts of this particular thread are gone, though I can quote a few good ones like:

Gloomysunday: How dare you! That was incredibly rude. You honestly need to grow up. You are such an **** I have not hated anyone in these forums, more than you! You are a know-nothing loser, who should get a life...you seriously need to shut your mouth. You seem to enjoy acting like a smartass, putting people down. (Or maybe just me.) Gloomysunday: I, of course was insinuating you were calling me "fat" which is really quite rude. By saying that I am in some way "identifying" or am like her. (Note that no one ever mentioned "fat" until this post)

And after another user pointed out that Gloomysunday has some issues, the whole thread turned into a multi-sided flaming war participated by either sock puppets or people with less intelligence than sock puppets. Many people tried to steer the topic back again but failed.

Voidox: you wouln't like someone saying to you that you were in love with character that is "male" would you ?

Voidox: it's not that she's "pointing fingers" , is just you woulnd't like if someone accused you to be a lesbian and by the way , you SHOULND'T even accuse people with those things , same thing now , if Gloomy was calling Poker "gay" because he liked a male character.

And even more golds from gloomysunday that got deleted before I could retrieve them.

People tried to call a truce, and both sides agreed not to touch the argument anymore. For almost three more replies. And then:

JillV: I have the chinese version, and will be getting the English version with my boyfriend.

Guess who just found a perfect time for the last word?

gloomysunday: Why would anyone care if you are getting this game with your bf? Geez..

And here we go again... Truce came and went, twice and counting, because the last word in the matter is so very important.

And we are not done yet.

Sadly those are the only ones I can find now as many threats has been deleted.

Just remember, it's always a good idea to insult someone as a "nerd"* because they are in an university anime club on a video games board.
