you guys suck, I'm kicking you out of the club!
With the Will is a group devoted to Digimon. At first it was just a message board, but recently it has become a subbing and scanslation group as well. If you're in the Digimon fandom, you might have heard of them.
There is a group of people known as the "Pandas" on the message board. Basically, they’re a group of people within the forum who hang out together on aim and IRC. Usually they are fairly civil about things, but some of the Pandas have made it known that they don’t like the current administration. Some people, especially some of the higher-ups, really don’t like them, and they have a habit of not listening to pandas. (Hint: people with the panda edit of V in their signature are Pandas.)
One of the administrators, Koroku, makes a resignation post. However, he had no intention of actually resigning, and several members call him on it. The wank starts off when one member, CantStopTheGecko, makes a comment about it.
Koroku: You might as well consider it my resignation, unless things improve.
CantStopTheGecko: Gah, but it’s a catch-22! You resign unless things improve, but things improve if you resign!
Koroku: Another person I’ve had enough of. And if any other pandas try any tricks, I don’t have a problem banning each and every one of you.

People chatter for a few posts, then another Panda shows up.
Grey Ookami: How does that work, care to explain? This place will probably crumble into dust…
MaskedSogeking: You say that like it’s a bad thing.
Koroku: I can ban you and you’d never have to think of here again. =D
MaskedSogeking: So…I can badmouth WtW and not get banned? But TG (CantStopTheGecko) badmouths you and he gets banned? So…you only care about yourself, alright. Good to know, I’m sure the members will love that.
Koroku: Okay, we can be fair.

A third Panda gets angry.
Danre: I have to ask on the behest of my friend: how was that a ‘trick’? Wasn’t that a ban on the basis of a personal vendetta?
But yes, just because you hate some pandas, I would request that you don’t insult every one of them as a group in whole in public announcements, regardless of insults in lj, etc. it causes unneeded bias, I think.
Koroku: Staff has wanted him gone for a while now, and I’ve become fed up with it. The account is evading a ban anyways. He should have been rebanned a long time ago.
Pandas for the most part come here to poke fun at the forum, not to become part of the community.
The majority always outrules the minority.
Danre: If the majority outrules the minority, is it right for you alone to overrule a large group saying WtW is “not a democracy”?
Koroku: I see very little people, aside from other Pandas, voting for them to stay as members.
Danre: I see, I believe, three. And I, as a Panda, should still have a counting vote even if you choose not to count any others, regardless of being actual members.
Four to one is still majority.
The topic has since been moved to the staff section, but luckily I was able to get a hold of screenshots before it was moved.

After all this, Koroku makes a general post to the community, which can be found here. Here’s a quick summary of the important points:
1: Pandas don’t like me, so I’m going to bash them.
2: Jita, the other active administrator, is being overly critical of my work, so I don’t like him. (Also note that Jita is the quality checker for the subtitling group and pretty much has the final say for those things. This becomes important later.)
3: omfgz I’m gonna leave!!!111! but not really.
Of course, people argue with him. Koroku defends his points, and he strongly hints that the board will go if Jita doesn’t get de-adminned. While it isn’t said outright, it can be inferred from two posts in the same topic.
1: other member (post was deleted, but it was used in a quote): Oh wait, if I’m not mistaken, Didn’t you say that you would close down if Jita wasn’t de-adminned?
Koroku: No, I said I would quit and wouldn’t come back.
2: Koroku: If I do give up the site, the domain is mine and will be used for other means.
Hmm….It looks like he does plan on closing down the board if he doesn’t get his way. What a spoilsport.
Later Koroku posts another topic in which he emos and thinks about leaving, stating that Pandas and Jita are why he’s leaving. He mentions that things would be better without Jita around, and people agree. Random members beg him not to leave, and eventually it turns into a Panda bashing fest. A mod who is a Panda eventually breaks things up and locks the topic. Of course, Koroku doesn’t leave.
All this is fine and dandy, but there’s one problem: Why is Koroku going to such lengths to really the members against the Pandas and Jita? The answer can’t be found on the board. Well, not in the public section, at least. I have no doubt that they’re scheming in the staff section, but unfortunately I don’t have access to that part of the board.
However, I do have access to IRC logs, and they speak volumes.

Of course, when people try to call him on what he said in IRC, Koroku denies everything. And he deletes every reply that posts the IRC transcript. Of course, we have screenshots to prove that he did so.
In short, never let a power-hungry maniac gain even a shred of power. This is what happens.
