Dear Kristen Bell - What are your thoughts on yaoi?
Kristen Bell, the star of the tv show Veronica Mars did an interview with Teen Vogue in which she dissed Logan/Veronica, the fan favorite and arguably the canon OTP of the show as "gross."
It's the fifth diss in two months.

That's one thing that bugs me about Kristen Bell. She's so against the show's "biggest" pairing and prefers her character be with that boring toad Duncan. Gross, no thanks.

Because that's healthy. Not to mention that he was willing to abandon a pregnant Meg the second Veronica was available. Why does KBell insist on painting Duncan as the perfect boyfriend? Both Logan and Duncan have their faults (significant ones in both cases), but I'd say Logan comes off smelling a lot rosier than Duncan. Certainly less batshit crazy.

I personally find it horribly rude that people get angry at an actress (someone they know next to nothing about) over one sentence she says. How disgusting is it to judge a person (especially KB) about the way she speaks? She doesn't like Veronica being with Logan. Well neither do I and plenty of other people? I've given up hope with regards to KB on this point in the canon. She's said she doesn't watch the show. At this point, I blame others. If she's made a mistake (which as far as I can tell from watching the show, she has), then nobody who both knows better and has her ear has bothered to correct her. I mean, has this never come up on set, when a director's been discussing her motivation for a scene?

I made a point in an earlier post of mine on my LJ, but I don't get why Jason gets a free pass in interviews and everything KB says gets overanalyzed and critiqued.
In in the interview with NPR, Jason said it was ok if Dick had a hand in Veronica's rape because "I wasn't that into her then."

That is a horrible, horrible thing to say and clearly not at all what Jason, not having thought through the implications of a very significant plot of the story, meant to say. He never thought about how the rape affected Dick and Logan's relationship so he spouted off a highly offensive answer.
And nobody commented. In all the comments about how Jason calls Kristen "KB" or about poker or whatever, I never saw one critique of that comment.
Is it annoying that Kristen says stuff like this? Sure. But I'm so over the double standard. I adore Jason, but if we are going to analyze and detail everythign Kristen says, then Jason shouldn't get a pass.
