So, there's been a lot of general complaining on the Sherlock rant meme lately about terrible prompts on the kink meme, as well as terrible fills.

The current wank started with an offhand comment from one of the anons:

Is it wrong that I have the urge to add a 'only good writers please' note to the end of every prompt I make?

Probably why I haven't prompted anything in over a month when last time I prompted something I got a really shitty fill.

This leads to some people going to the prompt post and making (troll) prompts with just that request at the end, some of which are filled:

Eventually, people starting changing up the requests, asking for terrible writers only, mediocre writers only, Klingon speaking authors only, and:

One morning, Sherlock Holmes awoke from uneasy dreams to find himself transformed into a giant penis.

Fills by wood rothers only, please.

Some anons start adding comment addendums to other prompts with the "only good writers" line while pretending to be the OP.

Meanwhile, people start to show up back at the rant post, angry about the "good writers only" prompts and unaware of how they originated. One such person, johnnypenn, makes a comment on the rant post decrying the prompts:

And the thread quickly turns into a complete wank fest, including gifs and anons quoting lines from johnnypenn's fics:

swipeatronspark is a Transformers ficcer most known for writing, requesting, and promoting Sideswipe/Megatron fic. She puts herself up in an anon meme with a number of others. The results are somewhere between mixed and strange, with slapfighting anons galore.

It's one of those memes where people post their names and other people comment anonymously, in this case, telling what they think of their writing.

Let's look at the rules, shall we?

1. If you’re a writer, comment to this post with your username.
2. Commenters, no drama please. Play like adults. And writers, be prepared for any comment.

So, we're clear on how this works, right? Writers put their names in themselves, voluntarily. They should expect any kind of feedback, and it will be honest. And as long as there is no drama, any kind of comment is allowed.

Here we finally see the truth: F_W hates me because I'm better than them!

Fail. The main reason F_W dislikes me is that I used to be part of F_W because some of my friends liked it, and then I saw that what F_W does is wrong, and instead of slinking quietly off into the dark and trying to forget it, I denounced the community. Period. I will never be forgiven for that, but I don't care, because it's not like I'm forgiving F_W next week. I still think who some of my friends are is part of the issue, but the main issue is that you all resent me for eating the red pill and waking up to what we were doing.

I guess we're all still in the Matrix.


And a personal note: Can one really be a part of F_W? It's not like we're Anonymous or anything.

As Whomageddon rolls on, doctorwho  brings us another sterling gem. Or rather, two bright turds of wank, coupled together to form a synergistic pile of perfection.

First, cringer1982 shares that he's written a very pointed letter to the BBC about how they have portrayed Asians in their recent episode Turn Left. He neglects to mention that he's white as the fresh driven snow. Irish, in fact.

BBC officials respond with a letter that has nothing to do with anything.

Some people don't see his point.

Veteran Doctor Who wanker Kate Orman (Kate Orman) (aka lj user seeingred) is no fan of anonymous memes. Finding she was not not at all loved at the anonymous doctor who livejournal community - who_anon - Ms. Orman urged the meme's creator lolcoholic to shut the meme down.

But months later, Kate curiously starts her own anon community, which *surprise* attracts negative responses. ihasawall was up for zero point five seconds, so the amount of actual abuse is uncertain. But, not surprisingly, Kate continues the wank here at her macro community (ihasatardis) where she can log IP addresses, delete comments, and ban people.

Naturally, some readers are butthurt. Others are confused. Was there abuse? Who dares disparage the house of Orman? Luckily, readers repost examples of the hateful comments, such as the companion's identity is not a spoiler twelve episodes into the show. Kate and various minions respond with "oh my poor unspoiled eyes" and "I luff Kate."

The who_anon anonymice continue to not love Kate and are sad to have missed the opportunity to slag her at the dearly departed community.

So! There is a bandom specific anonymous mocking comm over here on JF that is called bandflesh. It's all flashing text and caplock lulz and stupid anon shenanigans... until certain people decide that it's all too much for them. To the point of: Quite a few of the defriendings were people I have met IRL, care about a lot, a couple of them I even consider good friends.

Mmhmmm.

I wasn't sure if this was quite wanky enough for F_W itself, even though I got some lulz out of it.

So there's this Prince of Tennis anon meme. And while there isn't any one huge wank, there are quite a few smaller wanks, so I thought I'd post it here.

First off, we have complaints about the new fourteen-year-old fangirls flooding the fandom now that it's been licensed (funny, I thought there was plenty of badfic and stupidity before that, but I guess I was wrong). ashesto jumps in- she starts off sensibly, saying that hey, everyone was new once, but quickly devolves into wankiness and attacks on the original commenter. There's also people being fake-nice using tildes~ which is always rather amusing~ if you ask me~

Next, there's a BNF hate thread, which sees surprisingly little wank, but there's still some.

Then someone asks which fic authors should die in a fire. A lot of people get snippy over the nominations, and finally there's a- probably joking, but still a bit WTF-inducing- comment on how fic written by sexy people is better than fic by "Fatty McFangirls."

Someone makes a game attempt at spreading some love, and mostly succeeds, but there are still one or two people who would rather talk about how much the fic writers in question suck. This thread also features the old "you're just jealous!" line. Oh, fandom. You repeat yourself so.

Then there's cosplay wank, which is also the same as ever.

Then something about a squeeing Fuji fangirl who buys and scans doujinshi and claims that she drew them? I think? It's a little confusing.

And there's much, much, more- six more pages to be precise- but I have to run to class now, so I'll let the rest of you have at it. Enjoy the varied buffet of crazy.

This particular wank is my second ever posting of anonymous meme wank. Last time I failed like a second hand condom, but this time is way more fun: it's got it all; consprechy theories, BNFs, bitter mousies and zomg DEFRIEEEENDING!!!!!

Aja has put up the last anonymous meme of 2005, which understandably has received a whole fuckload of comments. But that's not the fun part. The fun part is Darkasphodel, who has let out a scathing tirade against many in HP fandom, including one of the mods from the hogwarts_today news comm.
