Michela Ecks/Laura runs the wiki FanHistory.com. There's a page for CSI Fandom about the ship Grissom/Sara and there is wank there, much of it in the recent history page.

As far as I can make out (because there is a tl;dr chatlog I scanned), a bunch of CSI fans were having a chat about fandom in their regular room. Michela made negative comments about the ship's PWPs, and the rest of the fans disagreed with her. Disagreement quickly became fighting.

On April 13, Michela added a new section to the Sara/Grissom page about the chat mod: velocity bug/velocityofsound:

Some event connected to YourTaxDollarsAtWork caused the Sara/Grissom shipper velocityofsound to remove all her fan fiction from FanFiction.Net.

velocityofsound can be a polarizing figure in the Grissom/Sara ship. If you don't like her, don't praise her and her friends fic, don't agree with her opinions, she will freeze you out. She does this on bestkeptprivate by banning people who give critical feedback, and by creating new chat rooms if chatters in the weekly chat get on her nerves. She doesn't inform people that she is doing that. They are left to figure it out. It adds to the level of cliquishness in Grissom/Sara ship.

Velocity of Sound's friends apparently retaliated almost immediately:

Now: dagdrommer, a Nick/Greg writer who lives in Norway, has a husband who collects Coke cans.

boy_ish offers to send a can, but asks about compensation for shipping to Norway. dagdrommer says of course she'll pay for shipping and things look dandy.

A little later, kennedy_unknown, who is already sending a CD to dagdrommer, offers to send a Coke can along with it. dagdrommer informs boy_ish of this and that's where things get weird:

boy_ish: Well it's a pretty crappy thing to do for somebody to pop in and 'help' when somebody else was already in the process, and "neglect" to even tell them about it.

kennedy_unknown: Oh, for crap's sake. I'm sorry I didn't get your press release, otherwise I wouldn't have dared pick up a can. If you like, I'll just drink it, throw it out and you can send Dag an invoice for your troubles.

And, duh, how in the god damn *world* could it not bother me?? Could I not continue bringing up how SERIOUSLY wronged I was?? I know you don't get that--because you refuse, and will forever refuse to believe you've done anything wrong. Blame only goes on one side, and it's all about blame with you guys.

Actually, CSI:NY is a remarkably easygoing fen, but the impending holidays have everyone's panties in a crease.

Over on TalkCSI, people discuss the lack of romance for Sheldon Hawkes the ME cum CSI who happens to be deliciously hot man of color. Most kvetch about a drunk partygoer Hawkes tried to help. Then Ambersdream offers this astute opinion:

I really hate to say this, but interracial relationships on TV are getting played out. It's like TV is going out of it's way to pair people together interracially. Like it's some trend. That is a route I don't think CSI NY should take.

As you might imagine because this is the Internet, the drama llamas are out of the gate. Springmoon, who is in an interracial marriage, disagrees:
