Over at a Life On Mars lj com, tzikeh and excathedra1895 have a kerfuffle about whether remakes are any good. Are Yankees sapping the poor Brit's imagination? Can Brits even understand US shows? It doesn't really matter, as the situation rapidly escalates to personal attacks and then...BAHLETION! tzikeh proudly posts that she has driven ecxathedra1895 from teh intarwebs.

Remember this Office wank? (Briefly, a writer asks the authors of an ongoing Office fanfic series if she can write an installment. They turn her down, she posts the story--without mention of any possible connection to said fic series--shit hits fan. Author pulls all her fanfic from the net, leaving a typical "GOODBYE CRUEL FANDOM" post: If you've come here looking for my fanfic, it's gone. I'm no longer posting any fiction to the web. If any of you feel like you have a quarrel with me, accept my apologies and leave me alone. I'm gone.)

neverenoughjam, aka the poor man's MsScribe, is revealed to have six sockpuppets who have been flaming annakovsky, honey_wheeler, kyrafic and obsession_inc in their stories in warning_labels, the Pam/Jim series she desperately wanted to join.

So far there have been no excuses for the sockpuppets. No cries of a devastating head trauma, or my favorite excuse, the "social experiment."

Whether or not it turns completely wanky remains unknown, but now that there are sockpuppets running around everywhere, it's bound to be fun.

The creation of a fanfic series and the turning down of a not-cool kid who wanted to add a fic to it.

The Not Cool Kid posts her already-written fic anyway, without mention of a connection to the series. The Cool Kids are not amused.

The author, Neverenoughwank, er, jam, does a flounce and it's goodbye cruel internets!

Shocked, simply shocked, at this turn of events, Nomadshan has had enough of the BNF bullying and WANTS YOU TO FIGHT THE POWER.

(BTW, I personally have no idea who the cool kids or the not cool kids are in this fandom; it just reads this way...)
