My question is, is there any way for our mods to be in contact with the mods of other communities to punish these trolls who throw cold water on our fun? Is it up to us members and participants in the mocking (on the FW side!) to ask the SF_Drama mods nicely for IP addresses and then give them to our lovely mods?

Here's how it would (and usually does, in such cases) work: The mods ask the SF_Drama mods for the IP addresses. If they give them to us, then we go through every comment made on the wank so we can see if any IPs match. Generally, they never do - people read F_W without commenting and then go post it over at the original wank. So, only in rare cases has IP matching done anything for us.

As for punishing the trolls, if we could catch them, all we can do is ban them from the comm. And they could still read the posts and still do it again. Unfortunately, we can't keep people from being assholes on the internet. The best solution to trolling like this is to make FW a locked comm, ~~or delete FW entirely~~ and that's not really an option.

Also, we're really really lazy. :) But I'll check with the other mods and see if we want to go the IP checking route.
