Serious topic
Now as people involved in the CC wank know I've been trying to circle the wagons to help out sapphireisle, the girl who's mom is suffering from a rare form of cancer [you can read about the situation here].

What I want to know is would it be alright to make an entry about this subject and post it to F_W?

I know it's not technically wank but F_W has a large readership and I think it'd be great if we could get the word out.

So would it be okay to use a F_W entry to see if we can help this girl? I promise I'll create some wank in the comments if necessary.

Also the lovely Cleolinda has posted about this to her journal [you can read her entry here] and she's also put up a poll so we can see how much we've raised [poll is here].

Now Cleolinda has suggest that we set a goal and if we reach it she'll put a new Movie in 15 Minutes.

So what you say Lord of F_W?

Sarcasm isn't a good replacement for an actual explanation of why you're so opposed to the idea.

Scroll up. I already explained myself. I'm not sure I could use smaller words. Maybe hand puppets?

You seemed opposed to the idea of off-topic posts in general. You only really explained why you were opposed to this post in specific.

But if you want to use hand puppets, it would be entertaining. Perhaps you've got one shaped like Edward Elric?

You seemed opposed to the idea of off-topic posts in general.

And this is bad how exactly?

You only really explained why you were opposed to this post in specific.

No. I gave an explanation for all off-topic posts - letting in one means letting in more, generating noise that muddies the signal. I also gave a reason about this one specifically - having seen this charity mentioned three times in three different places, I'm sure others have too, and at some point you're a broken record.

If this posts twice I'm going to sulk.

I didn't say it was--I was just interested in why you think so.

>I gave an explanation for all off-topic posts - letting in one means letting in more, generating noise that muddies the signal.

And this comes back to wondering why you thought that one off-topic post would lead to an unmanageable situation. But you really don't need to explain now--I'm not arguing for it anymore (see my comments to wankprophet, if you're interested).

And I'm done because I have a low tolerance for stupid, which you seem to have in abundance.

d00d. Is it that time of the month something? You seem unreasonably cranky over this conversation. O.o

Actually, I'm practicing restraint.
