| About: | Hello, and welcome to Fandom Wank: Offline Edition. This is a sort of unofficial "offshoot" of ![[info]](http://www.journalfen.net/img/community.gif){kind=small} fandom_wank, created after a suggestion of mine managed to generate a little bit of interest among fellow F_Wers. It is expressly for the intent of reporting cases of fandom-related wankery that occur in real life: Cons, fanclubs, stuff like print 'zines, or even something that happened while talking to someone you randomly met or overhearing someone at a store/rental place are all examples of the kind of thing we're looking for. Eyewitness accounts only, please - if you have a friend who wishes to tell us one of their experiences with the wank, either give them a code yourself or tell them to go here to get one, and then join the community (membership is open to all) themselves. It's real easy and doesn't take more than five minutes to set up, once you got your code. Also, since some people are very protective of their privacy, please avoid using full names - just the first name is fine, or maybe come up with a pseudonym (Pseudonyms also work if you don't know the names of those involved, and want to make your story easier to follow for the rest of us, especially if it involves a large group of people.). If you happen to know the online handle of a person, you can use that instead. Other than that, the basic rules and philosphy of fandom_wank still apply here.
