Imean, really?
In other news, Scholastic has published the results of their fourth fan poll question. They claim a majority of fans - 56%- believe that Harry will end up with Hermione, 20% believe that Ronwill end up with Hermione and 19% believe that Harry will end up withGinny.
Um, was Scholastic polling people who have actually read the books? 56%of fans are wrong. I quote JKR, in the interview Melissa and Iconducted with her two summers ago:
JK Rowling: Yes, we do now know that it's Ron andHermione. I do feel that I have dropped heavy hints. ANVIL-sized,actually, hints, prior to this point. I certainly think even if subtleclues hadn't been picked up by the end of Azkaban, that by the time wehit Krum in Goblet...
I would think it's difficult to interpret "Yes, we do now know thatit's Ron and Hermione" and "anvil-sized hints" any other way, butapparently 56% of fans disagree with me (or just haven't read theinterview... or book 6... or book 5... or book 4...). But then, manyfans still believe Dumbledore is alive, despite JK Rowling saying thathe is "definitely dead." Come on, guys. Wishful thinking isn't going to bring him back.
Note that the question wasn't Who Do You Want to End Up With Whom?, but Who Will End Up With Whom?.There's a difference between wanting something to be true, andbelieving it is true. There is a word in the English dictionary forholding a belief without evidence, and in the face of overwhelmingevidence to the contrary... I'll give you a hint, it starts with a D.

I am not calling all Harry/Hermione shippers delusional! Irespect H/Hr shippers who acknowledge the obvious: that JKR paired upRon and Hermione, but wish she hadn't. The only people I am callingdelusional are the shippers who try to wriggle and rationalize theirway around "Yes, we do now know that it's Ron and Hermione" and stillbelieve the two will make babies in book 7. Right, because JKR waslying to us? HOPING is different from BELIEVING!
Well, well...apparently "somehow" H/Hr won a poll. Some might think what an effing big deal after all it is anyway H/G and R/Hr. Emerson obviously disagress it is a big deal afterall he told us years already H/Hr won't happen. Ehh I mean JKR, I always get confused there. See Scholastic posted that H/Hr won the poll without any comment, I bet that was another bad choice from them or Emerson didn't need to remind us that H/Hr WON'T HAPPEN, GOT IT? IDIOTS *cough*
Best part of it all however is, that's actually THE FUNNY, is the linked article and Emerson's comment to it.
Ask Sherlock Homes. So suffice it to say, if Harry Potter dies in the “Deathly Hallows,” J.K. Rowling and her descendants will lose millions of dollars. Since we already know either Potter or Voldemort will croak, it’s got to be so long, Voldy.
I love the fact that he thinks JKR won't kill Harry...because of the upcoming movies as if she could or should care for MONEY but Emerson...well, he agrees. xD
So sacrificing more of Harry’s pals and heroes would again seem to be just bad business.
How can anybody seriously agree to that argument?
Harry can survive it, but his magical skills cannot. To finally vanquish Voldemort, save Hogwarts and Hermione and Ron, and, in fact the magical world, to say nothing of the J.K. Rowling franchise for decades and generations to come, Harry Potter must give up being a wizard.
The only part what makes at least sense....is to Emerson very unlikely. But then again he thinks Neville/Luna (after a comment on Mugglenet he even let it print in their little nice book) will end up with another, what else can and should you expect from him?

The Luna/Neville shippers are much less vehement and scary than the Harry/Hermione, Ron/Hermione tribes, so I hope I won’t receive too much hate mail for quashing this rumour. I see Neville and Luna as very different kinds of people and while they share a certain isolation within Hogwarts, I don’t think that’s enough to foster true love - friendship, perhaps, although I think that Neville would always find Luna’s wilder flights of fancy alarming.
