The cornfield was pretty much all the same people posting over and over, which got old in a hurry. Very rarely did they credit some anonymouse, so I assume they found it themselves.

And really, there is a vast gulf between why some Harmonians ship H/Hr and just snogging. I don't think that many OBHWF fans have comprehended that it wasn't just about H/Hr getting together, for many of us. Canon H/Hr tended to cover a lot more than just Harry chasing down his girl for the heck of it. It tended to affect the series, simply because it was a discussion on the nature of love itself for many of us--not just Harry trying to sleep with Hermione. Sure, plenty of squeeing, but really, I sometimes wonder if Harmonians were shippers as traditionally understood. We were, but we were more than that as well.
