Snape AK's CoS...or at least he tries
I didn't think I would make an entry on this journal that soon again but...this what I read was rather mind exploding.

You see I tried to visit CoS-Forums and guess what? They are on holidays. Now really that's the first time I read that without a special reason behind it. WRONG!

I was curious and tried a look on their CoS-LJ and guess what? It is just as dead as this journal. So I looked at an Admin LJ and guess? I found a long entry from October 16th this year. It left me cross eyed. Apparently while I stopped to look at their HP-Forums Snape fans and Anti-Snape fans started a war...a war similar to the "Oh so famous Harmony boycot" just too bad here are Mods too involved.

You see while they weren't so much of shippers they have a high interest in Snape. It is pretty much fitting too, no? So fitting to the Snape-Wank.

For short CoS is on hiatus because of Snape...link from Admin post, More about Snape War, Entry by an ex-Mod, Entry by a Mod, We're slowly there where the wank started...uhuhu, There is another link...look, OMG it is a Ship wank....shit...damn it is all about Snape/Lily O_o....I make it easy...take a look at every entry in year 2006 and compare it with the Admins entry

LOL. Okay, I'm sorry, but this is too funny. Say what you will about Harmonians (and people do), we've never forced any site to shut down over our antics. Nor has any other ship war, that I'm aware of. Guess that means the Snape people are worse than shippers?

Oh golly!

They complained so much about the Love Thread, but it looks like we - all shippers - were angels compared to the Snape fans :-P After all, we only managed to make them close and remove threads, we didn't go so far as to close the whole forum. lol.

WTF comicbookworm's post? Where is the namecalling in saying "And my husband and kids have never heard of the Harry Filter" and what was the point of that sentence anyway?
I remember these people and I am a bit weirded out by the characterization of SIP as an aggressive bitch. What was going on in the Snape/Lily thread? Need more information juicy gossip information!

God I wish someone told me about this earlier.

They are bashing her quite a bit though. They make fun about her attitude to rub everbody in that she's a writter. I had similar discussions with her on shipping and there she argued like that too.

I don't see the poster who started the previous "not about Snape" thread posting at all on the new one that was set up. He/she/it just wanted to attack us and had no intention of discussing anything at all.

Those who whinge about the lack of positive discussion on Harry have spent the last 48 hours ganging up to shut down discussion on a thread in which they claim to have no interest, rather than contributing to the discussion of Harry's character.


Was there a campaign to close threads about Snape in favor for threads about Harry? Is that what happened on the Snape/Lily thread? Cause that's pretty insane.

This is for narcissam, who said she wasn’t able to find the troll LJ posts of the anti-Snape wankers. Of course, the reason for that is that the trolls generally have them flocked or have deleted anything incriminating. There are still some juicy bits floating around, though. Everything here is still publicly posted or was at one time and sent to me, which is why I have a copy of it.

After the trolls effectively made in-depth discussion of Snape impossible on COS, other than how horrible he is to Harry/Neville, and caused the closure of the thread “Snape’s Character Development through HBP” (aka DevSev, still found on COS in the reference section) through baiting the regulars, the thread regulars moved to the Harry Potter Network to set up new threads. Some of the regulars still posted at COS, though, and received a private message from [info]comicbookworm for having the audacity to continue posting on a thread about the Marauders. This message was received by Silver Ink Pot, Chievrefueil, and subtle science. subtle science posted it openly (but without identifying the sender) on HPN (http://www.thehpn.com/index.php?option=com_smf&Itemid=26&topic=2228.msg75682#msg75682 (http://www.thehpn.com/index.php?option=com_smf&Itemid=26&topic=2228.msg75682#msg75682)).

For your mocking pleasure, here it is:

I thought that the three of you had a new home where you seemed quite happy and could post unmolested. Those of us who didn't leave have been respectful of that fact and left you to post in peace, since that was what you wanted.

One would hope the same courtesy could be extended to us here. I can assure you that no one, including me, is interested in more bickering. Therefore, you will find the CoS Decon thread depopulated. And since you already have your own Decon thread to yourselves, I don't see the point of having two of them.


The 3 posters to whom this was sent were not intimidated by it and continued to post on COS, leading to spamming by trolls at HPN. One, jk on HPN, [info]ex_captain_j286, posted mostly about how mean the Snape fans were being to her. Shield Maiden of Rohan ([info]thereal_anabel, who admitted to spamming on [info]jessicacarstens’s LJ?), [info]raven_feathers, and Idle Rogue ([info]bawdy_letters) were just argumentative, but at least made a pretense of discussing the books. The regular DevSev posters began to look at the LJs of the trolls from COS to try to determine the identities of the trolls on HPN. Apparently, there was little information, but there were a few wanks about Snape and hating him because of his fans.

Does it take a rocket scientist to figure out that they were all wanking about the DevSev regulars in their flocked posts? Not to insult subtle science, but I think not. I just read a post at HPN that suggests that Subtle has been reading posts about them in LJ. It might not be me, but I've had quite a few posts recently. I've defriended people I don't know all that well. I may defriend others as well.

A note: I looked at my flist and there was a Sevage on it that hasn't been active in LJ for quite some time. Perhaps that is the source of my leak. If so, then I will try to temper my anger. Otherwise I'd like the leaker to go fuck himself or herself.

EDIT: I am going to defriend a few people I friended recently since I don't know them all that well. I'm sorry if that hurts your feelings.

EDIT: The post I read complained about things written in LJ. Now let's step back a minute and talk about the page upon page of ridicule I received at HPN. Of course that wasn't being nasty since they were the ones doing it.


So, was there really a leak? I think not. As I said, guessing that wanking is going on doesn’t take a rocket scientist. Also, this was all back in May and long before the “I Left COS and HPANA” thread was started on HPN, so I’m not sure why she thinks there were pages and pages of insults against her. At least, I never saw them and I really suspect that she was just delusional. I mean, look at the paranoia displayed in the above post.

I probably shouldn't bother to post: but as a member of staff and a complete insider, I can assure you that the forum was NOT shut down because of 'Snapewank.' As some of you have noticed, the HPN thread was closed by consent of the posters, and the Livejournal people removed or locked most of their offensive content around the 16th, and the forum had been perfectly peaceful for over a week at the time of closing.

I know that isn't what anybody wants to hear, because it's not as much fun as the story of a forum shut down by hysterical wankers. :p

I could also respond to the personal allegations by Grrliz with a boring recitation of actual events and motives, but the dull facts are not nearly as entertaining as the idea that I'm a wild-eyed Snape worshipper bitch-slapping anyone who dares impugn the honor of my beloved Sevvie-umpkins.

So I'll let you keep that one to play with. :D
