OTOH, these are incidents of different sorts. The interview in question was (unless I'm remembering this wrong -- I was never really involved in Emerson's branch of fandom) something he and one or more like-minded fansite-hosts had set up. Maybe a bit more snarky than necessary, and a little bit unfair to JKR (who certainly wouldn't want to offend or alienate fans unnecessarily even if they read something unintended into her texts) maybe, but still kinda his own game to be playing. Lumos, OTOH, is not an Emerson-focused or Emerson-run event, nor did the panel in question really have anything to do with him -- he simply felt obliged to disrupt a discussion other fans were having.
