 | 11:44 pm - Monthly Picspam: MORE MUPPETS! Hello everybody! Thank you for your patience! There is a lot going on in this particular picspam, so I apologize in advance if it gets a little scattered here and there.

We're going to focus more on the people than on the muppets themselves here in part two, but even so, we're starting out with Miss Piggy, because A) she's Miss Piggy, and B) she's Miss Piggy. You will find an abundance of Miss Piggy in this month's picspam, because apparently everyone wants to get their picture taken with Miss Piggy. SHE IS SO HOT OMG!

Miss Piggy is a superstar.

But Miss Piggy is not the only superstar to have ever been on The Muppet Show! Oh no! For instance, there's Diana Ross.

And Gene Kelly!

And Gladys Knight!

And Liza Minelli, who was in last month's picspam briefly but reappears here because she's Liza Minelli!

And Lynda Carter OMG!

Those of you with good memories may recall that Lynda Carter is one of my three very favoritest childhood hero-type people ever (OMG WONDER WOMAN SQUEE!) and you may also recall that another of my three very favoritest childhood hero-type people ever is Diana Rigg (OMG MRS. PEEL MORE SQUEE!) and Diana Rigg, as all you muppet movie fans already know, played Lady Holiday in The Great Muppet Caper and therefore also qualifies for this picspam! YAY!

Diana Rigg is so awesome. Let's have more pictures of Diana Rigg, shall we? Because yes.

Fozzie and Kermie played identical twins in that movie. Aren't they adorable? I love that movie.

And speaking of movies! Do you know who else has been in a muppet movie? MICHAEL CAINE OMG!

AND ALSO JENNIFER SAUNDERS OMG!

And in the very same movie as Jennifer Saunders, TIM CURRY OMG!

WE'RE HAVING MORE TIM CURRY NOW BECAUSE I SAID SO! OMG!

Also in a movie with muppets? QUEEN LATIFAH OMG! I DON'T KNOW HOW MUCH MORE OF THIS I CAN STAND!

But wait! We are not done with all the people who appeared on the original show! We have not had Debbie Harry yet!

Or Dizzy Gillespie!

Or Elke Sommer!

Or Lola Falana!

Or Brooke Shields, who was really quite young at the time and that's why I'm not posting pictures from that episode!

Hmmmm, let's see, who else, who else? Oh, look, it's Roger Moore! Yay!

Oh, look, it's Shirley Bassey! Yay!

Oh, look, it's Mark Hamill, who gargles Gershwin gorgeously! (God, how I love that episode.)

And hey, oh, look, it's a bunch of other people, too! Yay!

And now we move on from The Muppet Show to Muppets Tonight, which ran for a far shorter amount of time but still had its fair share of hot people. Observe! Cindy Crawford!

Also, Michelle Pfeiffer!

Also also, Pierce Brosnan!

And also, believe it or not, Prince!

Prince has also been on Sesame Street, which kind of blows my mind a little, but is the perfect segue to that section of our picspam. I feel I must warn you here, though, because I'm about to do one of those things that I do where I post a whole bunch of pictures of different people in a row without naming them, except that there have been so many people who have been on Sesame Street that... well... let me put it this way: we're already well past the number of pictures we had in last month's picspam, and I'm about to increase the number of pictures in this post by half. This section is the primary reason why this picspam took so long. Really.
And now, sit back, relax, and keep in mind that I skipped an awful lot of people for the sake of brevity. O.O

And that is not quite your monthly picspam, because there's more, but I'm running out of time and also my fingers really hurt, so we'll be right back for the grand finale right after this short intermission.
Okay, I'm back! And now, as promised, the grand finale, wherein we find a whole bunch of muppets, and a whole bunch of people who've been on screen somewhere with muppets, and also a whole bunch of people with muppets. HURRAH!

And that is your monthly picspam, officially the largest we have ever had, and that's not even counting part one or the previews or anything.
My fingers hurt. :(
ETA: Today's picspam was brought to you by the letters M and W, and was made possible by a grant from Wikipedia and the Muppet Wiki. Thanks, Muppet Wiki! You don't know me, but I love you! ♥ ♥ ♥

I love Angus McGonagle. The Gershwin-gargling is one of my favorite bits ever on the Muppet show, right up there with Cheryl Ladd and Miss Piggy singing "I Enjoy Being a Girl" while violently trashing a dressing room and... well, and a bunch of other bits, too, but the point stands! XD

My favorite bit of that particular episode is still the scene where Luke and his crew rush through backstage On A Mission, and Mark comes in right after with his big goofy surfer grin and declares, "That Luke Skywalker sure is cool."

I love the ending when it turns out that Luke Skywalker and Mark Hamill are totally two different people, after all. Best use of split-screen ever OMG!
this was epic. I can't even choose my favourite.
It's my birthday! And you gave me muppets!!
*squeals*
... Asimov was on the show? REALLY? *boggle*

*applause*
The Prince episode of MT was the best. It was after he changed his name, so of course it was a running gag throughout the show (holding up signs with the symbol on it, Rizzo having it printed on the back of his jacket, etc). IIRC, the Pierce Brosnan ep involved a gang of lobsters taking over the studio, and Pierce had to infiltrate them in a giant lobster costume, armed with horrible puns. &hearts
Also, I actually have the Beaker pictured in the header! He's a little finger puppet that Starbucks sold a while back. I wish I had got the others when I had the chance. :(

That is beautiful.
I think the word I'm looking for is 'wow'.
I just clicked on this when I was listening to the Muppet Show album. |
