|puipui||11:12 pm - Monthly Picspam: Comic Book Characters|
At some point, I just have to force myself to stop looking for more pictures, because otherwise I'll just spend all my time finding pictures and never get anything posted. So if one of your favorites got shortchanged, that's probably why, and I apologize in advance; as always, please feel free to post pictures in the comments to make up for my terrible mistakes.
And with that said, IT'S PICSPAM TIME! YAY!
First of all, a quick apology to all the Lou Ferrigno fans out there, because I forgot him last month, but he totally fits for this month anyway, so here you go:
And that, of course, means that I should really include Bill Bixby again, and so again, here you go:
But there is more to on-screen portrayals of comic book characters than the bad 70's/80's TV show kind! There's also the movie franchise kind that starts out okay but then gets increasingly worse and worse until the last one finally makes its audience want to collectively drown themselves in their seven dollar sodas just to shut out the pain, and then later there's maybe a reboot!
Now ask yourself this: Did I mean X-Men or Batman? I DON'T KNOW!
AND THEN LATER THERE'S MAYBE A REBOOT!
"BUT PUI!" I can hear you saying, "YOU ARE MAKING ME CRY WITH ALL THE HEATH LEDGER PICS! And also you left out Halle Berry, who can easily be considered a contributing factor in the downward spiral of X-Men and also, OMG, Catwoman. HOW CAN YOU DO THIS?"
Well, I can't do anything about the Heath Ledger pics, I'm sorry, they make me a little melancholy, too, but REST ASSURED that I have not forgotten about Catwoman. OH NO! In fact, I was saving that up to post a whole bunch of Catwomens all at once! AND NOW IS THE TIME FOR THE POSTING OF CATWOMENS OH YES!
Anne Hathaway has her work cut out for her, I'll tell you what. Any one of those ladies alone is formidable, but when you add in Eartha Kitt? No force on earth can withstand their hotness.
That's right; IT WILL TAKE A GOD!
Oh, Idris Elba. How are you so hot? Who in the world of comics can possibly match hotness forces with a god?
Well, actually, that last one's easy, 'cause Wonder Woman, duh.
And now that I've managed to fill my head with bizarre but sexy thoughts of Wonder Woman / Heimdall, I think perhaps it's time I stopped trying to tie my segues together, for my own health. Let's have some Justin Hartley!
And some Ryan Reynolds!
And some Kristin Kreuk!
AND SOME BRUCE LEE OMG!
AND ALSO SOME ZOE SALDANA OMG!
But wait! Wait wait wait! Do you know what this post needs more of? We need some classic-type Superman in here!
No, no, more classic!
I'd go even more classic but I don't have the pictures. Will you accept these pictures of Summer Glau instead? She has nothing to do with Superman, but she's really quite pretty.
Oh! Also? Birds of Prey!
And also some more hot hot menfolk-type people too! HOORAY! \o/
Dwayne McDuffie was not actually a comic book character, but he was close enough to a comic book superhero that he counts.
Oh, but now we have gotten melancholy again! I'm going to have to take a minute to recover. Let's distract ourselves in the meantime with this long list of hot hot people. Their names are in the file names of their pictures! Do you know what comic book characters they've played? ALL THIS HOT HAS MADE ME FORGET.
And, of course, last but not least:
IT HAS BEEN SO LONG!
And that, at last, is your February picspam. I'm so sorry for the delay! Tune in tomorrow (or thereabouts) for your March poll, same bat-time, same bat-channel! ♥
The Catwomen just about killed me dead. Yay Catwomen!
(Are you allowed to say "same bat-time, same bat-channel" if you don't have Adam West, though? Or at least Yvonne Craig, since she played someone with "bat" in their name on that show and was also hot.)
mm, Anna and Famke and Halle and...
and then I got to cross-eyed Michelle and busted out laughing. :)
that is a purrrrfectly yummy line-up. Best of luck to Anne.
oh, Chris. and Mr. McDuffie, taken far too soon. :(
Now I has a sad again.
(No thanks, Mark, I don't want a smile put on my face THAT way.)
OMG, Pui. Above and beyond the call of duty. Awesome picspam.
Every month I think "There's no way Pui can top last month's picspam" and then every month you prove me wrong in the most wonderful way. Seriously? Thank you for all the hard work you put into this.<3
What's this? You've got Eric Bana but not Jennifer Connelly or Sam Elliott?!
Ah well, still an impressive haul. Just don't forget them next time!
Aw, Simon & Nick! I saw them on the Top Gear episode recently. It was good!
After we watched it, my brother asked me how long they'd been together. I had to break it to him that they were married to ladies.
*sigh* I really have a thing for old-fashioned Clark Kents. And for badly shaved happy Bruce Lees. And for Eartha Kitts with pleased kitten and grumpy kitten. And black&white Anna Paquins.
Ooooh, Michael Keaton. <3 You will always be my Batman, Michael Keaton. Always.

Aw yeah! Also, here is Christopher Reeve kissing Michael Caine:
I love that gods-awful movie.
Least convincing kiss ever, not that you can tell from the still. :D
Oh, man. And woman. And Famke...
And Oh, how could I have forgotten MiB? Should have some Tommy Lee up in here, Yo.
One of the poster sets for that still makes me grin and/or giggle:
MR. SMITH - MR. JONES
I think those were the series of posters that sold me on the film, to be honest.
Eartha Kitt with kittens! My day is made.
Also, I am delighted by the Muppet cameo.
♥ forever Pui, thank you!
