Nick Tarabay as Ashur, one of the biggest assholes on this show, which is saying a lot. (I cannot wait for the earth to swallow him whole, tbh.)


Craig Parker as Gaius Claudius Glaber, the man who thinks he's the biggest bad on the playground in Capua.


Lucy Lawless as Lucretia, the woman who allows little stand in the way of her prospective power in that world of men. (AKA The Real Queen Bee, AKA the Killer Queen, AKA SO AWESOME)


Viva Bianca as Ilithyia, a woman who seems seems vain and superficial on the outside but has the aptitude for cunning and carnage.

Sooooo I looked at the pic of Chow Yun Fat, and thought, "That's not from Curse of the Golden Flower."

Only afterward did it occur to me that that might not have been the villain you were thinking of. (Not that the photo is of that villain either, but that's not the point, which I also didn't get right away. Perhaps I need more tea.)

In entirely unrelated commentary, that Bette Davis shot, UNF. There is something about her personality/screen image combined with an ingenue presentation that is kind of disturbingly hot.
