Comments:
Kari Byron from Mythbusters?
And this is lovely. Masi Oka looks adorable!
I think pretty much most of my list of usual suspects qualify: at the very least, Karl Urban, Chris Pine, and Benedict Cumberbatch (who once played Steven Hawking) on the male side.
I'll second Kari, and...Hm...Anna Torv maybe? (I don't know enough about her to say if she's a real-life dork, but she plays one on TV. Jasika Nicole, too. Nichelle Nicols. Judi Dench who played D&D with KU and Vin Diesel. Rhada Mitchell for being inPitch Black and Silent Hill.
Ellen.
And Wil Wheaton (who massively qualifies -- and for that matter, so do John Scalzi and Jim C. Hines while I'm on the topic of bloggers/authors) just suggested three on his blog (sort of) Amber Benson, Meghan Camarena, and Michelle Boyd.
I think Naomi Novik might also qualify, while im still thinking about authors.

Scott Porter! From Friday Night Lights/Hart of Dixie! Big dork and wears it proudly!

Also Isaiah Mustafa (the Old Spice Guy) is a pretty proud dork as well, his tweets of squeeage from Comic Con were hilarious.
How are we defining "dork"? Seems like there might be some crossover here with nerd/geek. If so, Aisha Tyler. She's a hardcore gamer.
If we're going with "played dorks," let's just extend to her Archer co-stars with Judy Greer and Chris Parnell. Maybe Amber Novak too; she seems to be a bit dorky in real life (though Pam is completely bad-ass).
Tina Fey. Liz Lemon is, like, the epitome of dorky female on TV.
Which then leads me to Gillian Jacobs from Community. I'm not sure you can get much dorkier than Britta. (Danny Pudi/Abed would fit under the broader definition.)
And that makes me think of folks from Parks and Recreation. You could throw in just about the whole cast on that one.
And THAT makes me think of Anna Feris, who has played a lot of dorks and is married to Chris Pratt.
...which (by way of The House Bunny) leads to Emma Stone; she is certainly willing to appear dorky to an extent in her public persona and she's played a few dorky characters.
Colin Ferguson. Carter on Eureka is totally dorky, and he's apparently something of a nerd in reality (games with the Wheaton clan and such). And I'm sure you already have Felicia Day, right?
While we're on Fergusons, Craig. His talk-show-host schtick is deliberately dorky, but he seems to have a notable geek streak in reality.
Jay Baruchel. There's a reason he keeps playing dorky characters.

I'd suggest Felicia Day as well as the rest of the cast from The Guild. Doesn't get much dorkier than playing World of Warcraft "The Game." Also, Katie McGrath (who currently plays Morgana on the BBC's Merlin) seems like a total dork/nerd/what have you. Her starstruck reaction to hearing that Harrison Ford and Mark Hamill were at Comic Con last year is priceless ( here at around 6:02).
Re: the cast of The Guild, seconded. Also Lindsey Stirling, the violinist who makes her own costumes and plays music from video games (Legend of Zelda and Skyrim) and geeky movies (Lord of the Rings). Why don't we just start trolling through the lists at "One of Us" on TVTropes? http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/OneOfUs
Because then none of us will get anything else done this weekend. :p
Is Kristin Schaal on your list?
Natalie Morales from The Middleman!

How about Alyson Hannigan? Oh, and it's hard to get much dorkier than Bret McKenzie and Jemaine Clement.
Dorks, Geeks, or Nerds?
Depending on your definition, consider people on Big Bang Theory.
One could argue that the main male characters in BBT are all three.
Amy Acker, Karen Gillan (total dork IRL), and speaking of IT Crowd, Katherine Parkinson, who not only plays a dork on that show, but played the journalist pretending to be a "fan" of Sherlock in Reichenbach.
Pauley Perrette? Jennifer Lawrence? Mayim Bialyk?
I think Bill Nye the Science Guy counts, most likely. Though he is not female, and I don't think he's ever gotten up in drag.
Could you include John Gallagher Jr. in the picspasm? He's a total dork on the Newsroom but in that really really sexy way.

Steve Burns from Blues Clues is apparently now an indie rocker and quite easy on the eyes. Who knew? |
