Ah-ha! There really is a different version of DH around!
Lysette (Lissy) on the FAP ARGH thread:
http://forums.fictionalley.org/park/showthread.php?s=&postid=1730393#post1730393

What do you all think of Harry picturing Ginny in a wedding gown getting married to another guy?

As IF! Harry was just proving what a little sod he is. Gin-Bot doesn't breathe without his permission. If she did, he would lock her back in her Tower until she got with the program. I think DH!Harry despises weakness. He might have told Ron he liked her because she was tough from having six brothers, but Harry is always disgusted and ignores her whenever Bot shows a sign of weakness or emotion at all. That was why he was disgusted with Hermione, so it would carry over to the Bot. What was he going to tell his best friend, "The ONLY reason I like your sister is that she puts out." Even RON would slug him over that. Good thing Lavender didn't have any brothers when Ron, as we now know, had to punish Hermione repeated over something that happened two years ago. I would have loved it, if Harry informed Ronald that the ONLY reason he liked Ron's sister was because she is easy! I figure Ron would whine and blister and run away. That is another advantage with Ginny, Ron is afraid of Harry, so it is not like Ronald is going to Do Anything, no matter how insulting Harry is towards Ginny's Honor. Besides, Molly wants them married, so told Ronald that if he did anything to jeopardized Ginny's chances, then he had better NEVER try to come back to the Burrow. Molly is mercenary. Molly is the Mom in Reba's song, "Fancy." "You be Nice to Harry, Ginny, and he will take care of you.' Only that Mom wanted her daughter to live, and couldn't see any other way.
(bold mine)

It's one thing to "interpret" the text differently from others, but when you start making crap up to fit your worldview...

Actually, Molly is 'MUM'. We don't do 'mom' in England.

The rest is just a pile of shite.

Yes, Molly Weasley is exactly the type of person to teach her daughter to obey a man so he will take care of her! How did I not see that before?

What do you think of the part where Ginny is comforting the little girl towards the end?
Rowling is trying to make one last Hard Sell of the Bot to the Reader, but we, as well as Harry know it is just that, and don't care. Harry, obviously, doesn't care what Bot does, as long as she Heels when he snaps his fingers.

To me, the Best Part of G/H is that Rowling made me hate my favorite character in the series. Good Job, Rowling. By the end of the series, I was thoroughly disappointed that Rowling didn't kill Harry off permanently, like the little so & so deserved, and she had been "promissing" that she would. Too bad. That takes a lot when a writer can get the reader to hate their favorite character to the point they want him dead, as long as he suffered FIRST.

???

Because, of course, the ONLY reason Molly would care if her daughter lives or dies is so she can marry Harry. Not because GINNY IS HER BABY GIRL OR ANYTHING.

Molly is the Mom in Reba's song, "Fancy." "You be Nice to Harry, Ginny, and he will take care of you.'

Does she even get the point of that song?! She was sending her daughter to earn money as a prostitute so she could eventually get a better life! Not to get a husband who would 'take care of her' but to live on her own with her own life and not in a shack in poverty!

....towel?

Dude. All of the responses on that thread made me 0.o

And of course Ginny would simply marry someone else if Harry isn't with her. He also thought in HBP that he had to ask Ginny fast, if he wanted to go out with her, because someone else might ask her sooner. Because as a women Ginny has no other choice but to simply agree when someone asks her out. It's not like she has an opinion or feelings of her own. In Harry's mind Ginny is just that easy.

HOW DARE THAT WHORE GO OUT WITH SOMEONE ELSE WHILE HARRY IS SECRETLY PINING FOR HER! OR AFTER HE DUMPS HER! SHE MUST STAY PURE AS THE DRIVEN SNOW FOREVER UNTIL HER ONE TRUE LOVE DEIGNS TO NOTICE HER PRESENCE!

They seem to have gotten so addicted to making up incredible nonsense that they can't stop, even though the whole series is over!

Moment, moment - I think I didn't get this right.
Following Harmonian logic (actually it boggles the mind to use "logic" and "Harmonian" in a connection, but here we go) Ginny is a slut who's only after Harry because of his fame and money. That's what they were telling all the time, didn't they?
And now she's suddenly got "honor"? Isn't "being a slut" and "having honor" a contradiction in terms?

I'm afraid the Harmonian logic is too advanced for me. Besides I'm pretty sure: The book I was reading wasn't the same as the book they were reading.
