Dark Rune's Positive Harmony Thoughts Some of you have already seen this, but it hasn't actually been featured in an entry yet. Dark Rune says: ETA: Fandom Wankers, welcome to HF! Feel free to register to the board at any time. If you're going to be promoting HF's posts elsewhere, at least have the common courtesy to show yourselves. DarkRune needs to get together with Vanceone and let him explain that he banned HF members for linking and quoting posts. Said it was 'plagiarism.' Anyway, the point of this thread is for the Harmonians to affirm each other in their faith in Harmony. Positive thoughts, says DarkRune, then launches into a bitter, paranoid rant. A few of my favourite quotes, and it was so hard to pick them: Our logic and reasoning are as sound as they were pre-HBP. In fact, HBP added more clues between the lines that optimistic and keen-eyed Harmonians here have unearthed. ------- Given that Harmonian arguments are generally far too sophisticated, intelligent, and coherent for VOMITers to comprehend (see the Holes threads for examples of this startling phenomenon, also known as "The Anti-Logic, Anti-Canon OBHWF KneejerkaWeasley Defense Mechanism" or A.S.S.H.A.T. Syndrome), they need to resort to a higher authority, no matter how untrustworthy this authority may be. ------- And that is what I miss the most: respect. Respect for us, as human beings. Respect that we deserve. ------- It isn't over until the last page of the last book has been read. And reread. And marked for anvils and perused for subtle hints. And thoroughly analyzed. And intelligently discussed. And insightfully interpreted. All within the context of the series, of course. Responses are just as positive and happy! Nymphe: With all of the brainpower we have, we should be able to figure out most of what Rowling has in mind for HPO. I say, let's make Rowling nervous! Herminia: You see, I - like all of you - had made a great emotional investment in the lives of these characters...particularly in the lives of Harry, Hermione, and Ron. I felt as though I'd seen them grow up, and I'd quite literally grown up alongside them. To see their characters twisted and contorted to fit into the OBHWF mold was disgusting. hammergal: I discount the IOD now. Don't pay it a bit of attention. Haven't set foot in mugglenet or TLC since then and I don't miss those sites at all. Never enjoyed them much before, always thought that many of the ones that posted there were immature, silly kids with no clue whatsoever about what JKR was really writing. yxs</b:>Eméde: For some herons that is not enough, for those we have to dissappear from the earth on the most painful way. No matter we accept or deny the fact that H/Hr has sunk in canon people will hate us because we simply exist. unifilar: It took a direct shot from the author to totally discredit us. Do you realize how rediculous that is? We were that strong. That the ultimate step had to be taken to shot down Harry/Hermione. Pathetic, if you ask me. bamaslamma29 (aka our very own TL;DR mouse): As in life, I think everyone should be allowed to be who they are and see what they will, and should not have to conform to what the "majority" (or who thinks they are the "majority") believes just to be "respected". |
