I'm playing around with the look of the community. I've decided to go with pink for now in honor of our favorite pink rectangle. :D At some point I hope to have an actual Hyperbole layout. This will have to do for now though.

In the most recent Hyperbole and a Half entitled 'The Scariest Story' Allie talks about this fear of things in the closest. I laughed so hard because I was frightened of what was in my closet when I was little. Apparently, I figured that if I shut the door then nothing bad could get me at night. Of course, my parents would open it slightly so it would get some ventilation so every night I went through the process of trying to close it before lights out. It was worse if it was left open just a smidge because it seemed more foreboding. I always put my back to it, covers over my head. It made perfect sense in my mind. And then my mother had to make the comment that blankets couldn't protect me from real dangers. THANKS MOM! Way to help with your child's irrational fears.

Me, if I forgot to close the closet door before my parents tucked me in and turned off the lights in my room

Anyone else have thoughts on 'The Scariest Story'?
