Very carefully.
As I understand it, nobody but the ringleaders was allowed to know exactly when the raids would be until it was actually raid time, and there was some emailing going on out-game between the leaders. This whole thing was apparently in the works for weeks, ever since Alliance staged a raid on Horde that killed all of Silvermoon and Orgrimmar's leaders.
