Pokemons are SRSBSNSS.
On the Pokemons community, myuutsuuman posts a video about SSBB tiers, then goes comparing Pokemon tiers to SSBB tiers. The main bit?

While the video's basically regarding Smash Bros. (and parodies using the logic tournament players use), you can apply the same to competitive Pokemon players. Apparently, you become a "noob" or an idiot for not playing a video game that's built around customizing YOUR team with the way YOU want to play. Sure, there's some stupid choices that can be made (like a team of six Water-types or using a Fire-type with only Fire-type moves or having a Pokemon with Thunder, Blizzard, Fire Blast, and Hyper Beam), but really. Am I the only one who thinks the whole "competitive" aspect ruins the point of the games? They're called "games" for a reason; they provide entertainment and are meant to be fun. Not to be treated as a contest of who has the bigger e-peen in battling Pogeymanz.

People agree, disagree, complain about tiers, and fuss. Not major, but a touch wanky.

On iWank because I wanked. Competitive Gamers Creed my fucking ass.

THIS.

I guess I'm just one of those rare hardcore gamers that does not give a flying fuck about how other people play. Because, you know, this hobby (and I don't care if people are "professional" gamers, it's still a damn hobby), is about having fun. And fun for me is not necessarily fun for thee. I will happily spend hours maxing out stats in a game for the express purpose of slaughtering whatever sekrit uberboss is in it. This is not everyone's cup of tea and I am not losing sleep over it because I am too busy having fun in my own way. Jesus.

As someone who used to regularly own the local SF2 tournaments back in the day, I can tell you that 99% of the dudes (and it's always dudes) with the loudest mouths who wank the hardest about "casual gamers" are the ones with the least amount of actual skill. These are the guys who would literally empty out rolls of quarters because they couldn't deal with anyone beating them at "their" game. This whole thing reminds me of when my (thankfully) ex-BF got all butthurt whenever I would beat him at [insert fighting game here]. And he was a self-proclaimed feminist, at that. He would "jokingly" accuse me of button mashing when I would break his supposedly unbreakable combos. He was one of those people that would print out move lists from Gamefaqs and study them. He also once spent two hours barracaded in the bedroom because I beat all his Mario Kart Advance hi scores. I tried to explain that the reason I'm really good at video games was because I was a solitary nerd girl with no friends growing up and it wasn't really anything to be mad about, but he wouldn't listen.

No, I was joking. Poorly, to be sure, but I was not sincere in the least.

No, I knew you were joking. It was still creepy.

Can't argue with that.

In fact, making that comment was a bad idea in the first place.

So, why was Hiei wearing bunnyears?

OH GOD dfgkjsdfgs.

...They especially hate it when you really are button mashing. I'm BAD at fighting games, but I have a good twitchy hand-eye thing going, which leads to such Ecchanisms as "*high-pitched delighted squeeeee* WHAT DID I DO TO MAKE EVERYTHING CATCH FIRE WHAT DID I HIT I WANT TO DO IT AGAIN AHAHAHAHAA" and everyone else STARES.

I am also a level-maxing stat machine. XD

What really gets me is when wankers yell about button mashing in Smash Bros. games.

The entire battle system is based on button mashing. It's right there in the title, dude. A finesse game it is not.

I am a resolute button masher, though sometimes I manage to suss out a move or two that works and do them repeatedly.

I won a Smash Bros. Melee "tournament" (a bunch of friends fucking around at a party) with Princess Peach.

Hee. I like having "theme" matches. Like when me and my friends used to have Jerry Springer episodes with Link, Zelda, and Ganondorf. Or when the three of us would all be Dr. Mario and we would just fling pills at each other.

Peach seems to be quite popular at tournaments at the cons I go to.

I can honestly say Cloud Strife was literally my prom date. And not even in one of those crazy astral plane type ways.

I stayed home and beat FF7 for the first time that night. XD

Hmmm. Hot nerd girl in exchange for losing at video games?

I'm willing to trade.

Sigh. Fandom.
