I hate my state.
So. I live in the general New Orleans area. Savvy folks may know us from the BP oil explosion, and something called Hurricane Katrina.

The Times-Picayune, hosted online at nola.com, was one of the best sources of Katrina info. When it came to Deepwater/Macondo, it did... less well. But I've mostly been wanking about incidents that happened during Katrina... see, during Nasty K, a lot of our darker-skinned civilians came down with sudden cases of dorsal lead poisoning.

Apparently black men can fire rocket launchers out between their shoulder blades, or something. Thank goodness for our cops, who weren't afraid to step up and deal with this awful threat against our community!

A lot of people feel very, very sorry for the police officers that gunned down civilians and then covered up their crime.

The Danziger Bridge Massacre was so totes justified.

Unless you were here and you know what happend don't be so quick to assume. If Romell Madison is so well off why didn't he take his brother with him when he evacuated? Is all of the anger his family is showing to the police stemming from the anger he is feeling from not doing what he should have done himself protect his own brother. Am I my brothers keeper?

I'm certainly no cop - just troubled by people who convict ANYONE based upon what they "think" are the facts - and then - on an anonymous forum no less - where guts are easy to fake! - REFUSE to acknowledge the FACTS that upset their little apple cart -

such as the inconvenient facts that prove their were teenage shooters on the bridge when the cops pulled up.

I am stunned - and fearful for us as a society - that some of my fellow citizens disregard such important FACTS. (All that's a steaming pile of blatant lies, FYI for those not keeping up with these events: there were no teenage shooters.)

Do you think an officer, a soldier, or any other person confronted in a life or death situation wants to intentionally "kill" or harm someone. No. Self preservation is instinctive. If you feel threatened you are going to go on the offensive -- whether it be a verbal attack or a physical attack. From what I have read about this case, the call came out that officer's were under fire. Theses officer's showed up without knowing what was going on and were under fire from some people on that bridge. What would you have done in a similar situation? If you showed up and your best friend, your brother, your sister, your mother, your father, a co-worker was being fired upon? How would you have reacted.


I wanked my lily-white ass off, and am wanking still. I don't feel that bad about it.

Bonus points if you manage to catch a comment using the word "colored" before the nola.com mods wake up and delete it.
