1. Any poster who uses the phrase, "Can someone please explain the appeal of this?" or any of its variations has a ninety-eight-percent probability of being a troll.
1.a. Adding, "I really want to know," means that the poster does not, in fact, really want to know. S/he does, however, want to tell you why you're wrong.
