9:57p - Reeve's Law
In any news post on a forum (or group blog) about a new or upcoming sequel/entry to a series and/or franchise, the larger the forum's membership is, the chances are greater that:

1) ...at least one comment will be made about how a certain installment of the series/franchise is better than all others.

and/or

2) ...at least one comment will be made about how the series/franchise has gone downhill since a certain installment.

At least a third of the time, the first such comment will be largely to entirely off-topic from the initial post. One hundred percent of the time, the first such comment will inspire others to post comments of a similar nature.

(Don't know if any laws similar to this have been proposed; I wasn't able to come up with anything while searching the del.ico.us account.)
