Sashenka's Universal Law of Higher Education
Sashenka's Universal Law of Higher Education states:

Anyone who uses a college undergraduate degree as a reason to support their argument on the internet has clearly not matriculated into any respectable educational institution.

Likewise, if they mention their BA in English, their grammar will be severely lacking, especially in the sentences immediately following their boasting of said degree.

Of course, one must ask, "What do you do with a B. A. in English?"

Then get a PhD and work at Barnes & Noble until you can get hired as a substitute teacher at an underfunded high school.

Judging from the people I know, apparently you either teach or go into law.

and plenty of knowledge

I can't pay the bills yet
'cause I have no skills yet
the world is a big scary place!

You can say the same with an Honors degree in Political Science.

...at least, I can.

The same thing you do with most degrees... attempt to teach. Most of my friends who graduated from my school work in retail.

Based on the sample of English majors I know, go into transcription for local police and fire departments, who then bug you when you faithfully transcribed their atrocious grammar.

Go into a master's program because your academic record isn't good enough for a Ph.D. program and hope you can GET into a Ph.D. program and get a Ph.D. so you can teach slightly more developed teenagers about the joys of Shakespeare.
