Redone: Variation on the law of shipping double standards
During a ship war, there will always be someone who argues against a same-sex pairing with "why can't they be just friends?!", while proclaiming that opposite-sex partnerships can and will blossom into passionate romance despite evidence to the contrary. Sometimes the reverse will happen.

Whoever argues against one pairing with "why can't they be just friends?!" while proclaiming that another ambiguous pairing MUST be romantic because they say so...

Still can't think of a 'punishment' for this one.
