I'm sure there's already a law pertaining to this sort of thing, but just in case there isn't...

Anyone who uses the lines "I am laughing so much harder than you", "I'm only coming back because you're all so entertaining", or any variation thereof automatically loses the argument.

Possible corollary?: Anyone who claims their opposition must be frothing with rage over the argument and this so amuses them, because they are so above it all despite evidence to the contrary, automatically loses the argument.

(Inspired by me reading over old fpb wanks in the wiki <.<)

I love this law. And we shall call it: Pocketfox's Law of Not Really Caring, because it needs a name.

I was pretty sure I'd seen this one before, so I checked and sure enough:

TSC's Law: The first party in any debate to defend either their own or another person's actions by claiming that "They weren't being serious", and/or that they "Were just trying to rile up easily-offended people", automatically loses not only the current argument, but the next three arguments as well.

Argh! "Preview" not "Post Comment"!

Please pretend that I added to the previous post:

Although there is a small yet important distinction between "not being serious" and "laughing much harder than you."

No forgiveness for you! /soupnazi

Perhaps what I suggested could be a corollary to TSC's Law?

I don't know - they're close, but there seems to be a big enough difference to warrent its own law.

I hate to seem like I'm trying to toot my own horn or something, so I'll leave it up to you guys to determine what it is or isn't. ^.^

BTW, icon squee. I love Dr. Girlfriend. ^.^

I think it's certainly different enough to warrant a law of its very own. Especially since "No, I'm really laughing at you" does seem to be among the Top Ten Deflection Tactics for the common wanker.

I approve on the grounds that the argument in question has been used on me FAR TOO MUCH AS OF LATE. WHY CAN'T WE HAVE NICE RPs? PEOPLE THAT RIP OFF OTHERS AND THEN TRY TO BACKPEDAL WITH 'but its just a game lol, im laffing so hard that you care omg'

Ahem. Sorry 'bout that. ::cleans up after self::

Does this law have a name? I'm trying to get all the laws into the new wiki and I'm hesitant to just pick a name. Someone suggested Pocketfox's Law of Not Really Caring, but you never commented on it...any thoughts?

That name works for me, since that's kind of what it's all about. "I totally don't care about this argument even though I really do." :)~
