Please excuse me for intruding, but I thought these would make nice additions. In a pointing-out-the-blindingly-obvious kind of way.

The Galileo Fallacy: The fact that everyone disagrees with you does not make you Galileo; just because an idea is unpopular doesn't make it right.

The Gadfly Corollary: The fact that other people are pissed off about what you've just said does not make your statement automatically correct; you may just be an asshole.

Both are paraphrases and originated in this blog post.

you are probably just an asshole.
Fixed.

I really hate this mentality. If you have to declare how edgy and hardcore you are, you're probably not.

It's the same type of thinking that leads white male Christian Republicans to claim that they are actually an oppressed minority in this country.
Third comment. Pick it up, people!

Also, that lady uses waaay to much illustrations.

Excellent addition, and the blog post has some great examples, is well-written, some people just love graphics. *enthusiastically applauds*

Also: the fact that other people are pissed off about what you've just said does not mean that they're threatened by your statement. It may well be that they can see, while you can't, that you're an idiot as well as an asshole.
