Internet Lawyering
I bring forth to you a law that is long overdue- if someone has already written a law like this, please, let me know and I will remove this one. As it is, I have not seen anything addressing this issue.

The Theory of Internet Lawyering

Any wanker or wanka who asserts knowledge of the legal system and proceeds to try and tell others what the law is to the point of showing that they actually have no real knowledge of the law shall be beaten with a set of first year law school books.

Included among the books will be these standard titles-
Torts
Contracts
Criminal Law
Civil Procedure
Constitutional Law
Criminal Procedure

Beatings will continue until the offender understands that they are not a lawyer.

But their mother is a paralegal/they asked Uncle Artie who does workman's comp/they read a post about it in [info]fandom_lawyers, you see, so their standing is therefore unimpeachable.

Not that I saw that kind of defense from that person, mind, but it is such a universal response that I just... can't bear to try any more. It is wicked of me, but I pray for a precedent-setter every time this kind of thing pops up.
