Isn't Wikileaks hosted, in part, by the people who run The Pirate Bay? They'll tell anyone, and I mean anyone, to fuck off--and do it with style.

On one hand, they're sticking it to the COS. Yay for sticking it to the COS.

On the other hand, if the COS really does have copyright to some of the documents--and I don't see why they wouldn't if they're Hubbard's own writing--then it's still a copyright violation and the COS still has the right to have them taken down.

I don't think wikileaks is based in the US, though. I think they're based in the same country as Pirate Bay.

IANAL, so I can't debate the finer points of international copyright law, but... it's the Co$. They deserve to have their copyright violated! It's practically a moral obligation. Therefore I approve.

They do have copyright to all of it. The NOTs and such have been freely distributed over the internet for a couple of decades now, thanks to Arnie and others, and they have been entered in their entirety into public record in at least one European country, but I don't think that actually dilutes the COS's copyright at all.

They just suck unbelievably at keeping it out of public view.
