Oh god, that was fantastic. I LOLed. (Shouldn't it be LedOL? Or is "LOL" somehow now its own verb, separate from the phrase it is an acronym for?)

"LOL" (or "lol") is a verb now! Also maybe a noun? And "lulz" is a plural noun.

I don't think LOL/lol is a noun, and LULZ/lulz never appears in the singular. Also, there doesn't seem to be an adjective form of LOL, but "lulzy" exists.

Well, there's lollerific, or lollerskates ("that's lollerskates"), but no adjective form of pure, uncorrupted lol. I've seen "lol" used in place of "laugh", as in "I had a good lol"; "lulz" is then the plural form of the noun "lol".

Is there an adverb form yet? "Lulzily?"

I've never encountered the adverb form, no.

So:

We have the root form, the verb "to LOL/lol". The past tense/participle is "LOL/loled" or rarely "lolled"*. The simple present tense is rarely used (I LOL, you LOL, he/she/it LOLs). The present participle/gerund is "LOL/loling" or "lolling"*, and the present progressive is the most common present ( I am LOLing, you are LOLing, he/she/it is LOLing), but the past tense is more common.

The noun form is LOL/lol, pluralized as LULZ/lulz. The plural is more common than the singular, and usually not caps-locked. The common adjective form comes from the plural - "lulzy". Other adjective forms can be made with the addition of suffixes, traditional and non (-eriffic, -skates), but the standard adjective form is "lulzy".

There is no known adverb form.

*this is despite the fact that these are also forms of the IRL verb "loll".

To continue:

The archaic plural, "lols", existed briefly* as an exclamation before morphing into "lulz", seen it is today -

"LULZ" is a corruption of L. O. L., which means "Laugh Out Loud"
