Fair Game.STOP
Rumors? Reports? SCANDAL? ENTURBULATIONS???

My sources in /b/oston tell me numbers were about in keeping with the last two months, possibly a hair less, but the raid went well; many honks, much flyering, a nice procession down to Copley where a dance party and game of capture-the-flag ensued. Stoop Kid was not sighted as far as I've heard. He is missed.
An Old Guard person from Usenet showed up wearing a 'Body Thetan On Board' t-shirt. He was excellent to have around.
The cops, as usual, were genial and obviously unhappy to have to listen to the scilons for hours on end.

I think foot traffic around the org is really diminishing. Some neighbors of the CoS said they wished anon luck as they took off for a quiet day elsewhere... I think they're getting resigned to the idea that that's what they must do for peace and quiet once a month.

In Portland the numbers were about the same as last time, but we had some new faces (so to speak), which is good. It seemed like we had more ex-Scientologist this time around, and the signs everyone had were more professional-looking. One person I talked to had heard about it from damn_portlanders on LJ which was a big win for me. I am currently uploading a video of the local head of the Portland CoS HANDING OUT FREE CANDY to anons. Epic Win, though I don't know for who.

We also had a reporter from Willamette Week come out and interview us, them, and take pictures. Should be interesting if an article comes out.

“I celebrate their freedom of speech, but it only takes one of these little guys to be off his Ritalin and then he stuffs his daddy’s gun in his pocket and starts blasting people.” (Barnard has had some words for WW as well.)

I thought psychiatrists were bad.

No, but the reporter does get to say "first!"

Speaking of news coverage of Co$, here's an article you might find alarming.

Scientology and the Blackfeet

Tribal members are getting advice, free trips—and perhaps a new rehab program—from their connection with L. Ron Hubbard's church. Is this the help they need?

...

I gotta say, if L. Ron was sooo concerned about the Blackfeet he could have used some of his VAST WEALTH while he was alive to improve things on the reservation. A scholarship fund, fund a medical center and decent schools, SOMETHING.

That guy does not deserve a war bonnet.

The Village Voice doesn't have coverage of today, but they did preview the protests in an article published yesterday.

Anonymous Plans 'Operation: Fair Game: Stop. For Saturday

There is a link in that article to a blog entry about an Anon who got outed and served with a legal nasty-gram.

Queens Anonymous Member Gets a Letter from Scientologists

It seems that he asked Co$ to declare him "Fair Game." Co$ complied.

It's amusing how they keep searching for an Anonymous 'leader'. Never mind that they don't have and have never claimed to have anything but a vaguely feline collective.

The Berlin protest has made the "Tagesschau", which is the most important German TV news report. Just a short clip, but still... I searched the site, and it seems to be the first rally that they reported on.

National newspapers are starting to pick up on things, too.

Oh, and there was a court ruling last week which allows the German "Federal Office for the Protection of the Constitution" to continue surveillance of Scientology because there are numerous indications that they endanger freedom and democracy in Germany.

[all links in German, sorry]

Amsterdam was completely epic. Some highlights:

- We did a perfect copy of the Chaser's Free Gullibility Test. Including a table setup with one anon wearing the Chaser shirt, a fake e-meter (with silver soda cans), etc etc. A lot of tourists played along.

- We had 500 balloons with Xenu.net printed on them, which were placed strategically around the Org.

- A group of teenagers spontaneously decided to join Anonymous and spent the rest of the raid handing out flyers.

- One Scilon was waiting for us at the station, alone, to have an honest friendly conversation with us without the Org watching.

- Our own local memes were used appropriately, and we stole some from the British.

- Jeta Eggers (Old Guard, pretty much the Dutch version of Mark Bunker) spent the day picketing with us

- A tram driver at one point called out to us over PA: "/b/tards in concert!!"

Other than that... we were really well-organized, with flyers filed by language, tons of energy drink available, clear tasks/titles for anon (PR, police communication, etc.), a massive folder full of d0x, and the occasional spai run at the Scilon demo site (they held a protest of their own, which predictably failed). Excellent raid overall.

And this is why Anonymous continues to have the best protests ever. It's a cross between social activism and flashmob parties.
