Newbie here- was this one done already?
Apparently, librarians have to put up with enough crap without being stereotyped, darn it all to heck!

And here I thought the shushing action was cute.

Oh, for Pete's sake. Speaking as a librarian, and former student of Nancy (the model for the doll), I hearby tell all those other librarians to take the darn stick out of their behinds. That is, if it isn't so far up they can't reach it any more.

Shush!

I wonder how the nay-sayers would have reacted if this was Mattel announcing the release of a Barbie librarian doll? I know there was an online poll to vote for Barbie's next "job" a while ago, but darned if I can remember the link.

Jeez O_o I'm going to be a librarian and all I thought when I saw that action figure is "I've got to order one of those for my computer desk!"

The shushing motion is cute :/ I don't understand why people are getting so bent out of shape about it. It's a fun idea for an action figure.

Aw, cute idea. And if you take ANYTHING made by Archie McPhee that seriously, you really need to get more oxygen. They make, like, rubber chickens and boxing nun puppets. Come on.

Boxing Nuns Rule!

I've made my list of McPhee Action Figures: Moses, Jesus and Pope Innocent III.

Erm...I kinda like cheesy relious themed paraphrenalia (oh, okay, irreverent). *hides "The Last Supper" nightlight in bedroom*

Teach me to look at things before I post (ah well, it's Friday and I've had a long day).

That should have read: Boxing Nun Puppets Rule.

And I haven't a clue what relious paraphrenalia is, but religious paraphrenalia I do. :P (And how is it I can't spell religious worth a damn but paraphrenalia I managed fine?)

I know what our school librarian is getting for Christmas now...and she'll LOVE that thing.

On the comedy forum I'm on we have a couple of young librarians... so we've already had a bit of discussion about it. Of course, our general consensus is non-wanky. :)

As Neil Gaiman pointed out on his journal today, this isn't the first librarian action figure. 'cause there's a Rupert Giles figure out there!

I doubt this would change the wank in the slightest, though.

eee! Really!? (I'm a relative newcomer to Buffy - I started catching up when the DVDs started coming out. So this is news to me.)

I don't know if I'd get one, but I'll have to see what they're like.

Okay, enough fangirling.
