Look, it's got Gay and Fanfic! Even though it was not about fanfic!
I seem to have a good wanky week here.

A nice community I sometimes lurk in called Gay Sex Tips brings the fun this time. A girl asks about darkrooms, and I'm already reaching for my tissues. But the fun doesn't really start before the OP comes out of the gender closet in no uncertain terms, prompting the (nearly?) infamous janusdoa to inflict his righteousness to the masses. Of course, jumping to conclusions right off the bat.

Godwin's law gets sodomised in nearly record time, and HP gets mentions, so it's a good'n'healthy masturbatory session for gay sex tips. How becoming!

Oh man, that was just....man. That was one hell of a wank. It was in two different languages! And people I know were invovled! And there was Holocaust denial and American bashing from multiple angles, and assumtion of nationality and it was all so very, very insane.

Eh...what the hell? Anyway, putting aside all the Holocaust remarks..what's the big deal with writing gay sex scenes if you're not gay? I see so much of that 'oh my god you're a GIRL you can't possibly write about gay guys!' and I don't really get it. If it's written well, who cares? And if it's not--well, I've read shitty sex scenes by people of the sexual persuasion they're writing about, too.

The fact that he even brought that up shows what an utter ass he is! I'm simply horrified that he'd give such a flippant remark like that. A harmless and enjoyable (though often times frustrating) hobby should get you sent to a death camp, also known as HELL? Yeah, nice call buddy. Forget ejecting him from a fandom, can we get him out of the human race? Grr. I'm too angry to even make snarky remarks at this point.

also, people who are amused by such sillyness (and there are hundreds, thousands, sheer numbers of them) as saying "OMG FANFICTION AUTHORS/OMG GAY PEOPLE/OMG STRAIGHT PEOPLE/OMG FURRIES/OMG PEOPLE WITH FRECKLES SHOULD BE 'XECTUED!", in a urbane, witty, and calm manner - they confuse me. I get that it's fun to get a million reactions (see about every comment above), but really. Everyone has done it. A little originiality never killed anyone - Much like the holoucast!

Late to the party, with an observation:

Sir Janusdoa has a Gravitation icon. Is it a forgotten relic from his his past? Did he discover 1)that the creator was not a gay man and 2)that many, many other people who were not gay men also enjoyed reading, writing, and drawing about her characters having unrealistic gay sex with each other?
