Dunno if you remember my last post here regarding the Therianthropy comm at LJ, but it's not really relevant here, outside the fact it's the same comm.

OK, enough bush-beating-around.

the_ash, a long-time lurker at Therianthropy, decides to delurk long enough to write up his "All about me" post to the comm.

In it he states that he is both a wolf and a black panther (of the leopard variety), and for the most part, things go well, with the usual "welcome to the comm!" comments.

That is, until ladymalen decides to educate the OP on panthers, asking him if he knows that "panthers and leopards are a different species" or not.

It devolves from there, with ladymalen giving us a lesson in biology and the OP pretty much saying what's on my mind: this is a stupid argument and there's no real reason to be arguing period.

It's times like this when I'm glad for the fact that I just lurk there, because when you get right down to it, they're arguing over the animals people feel a kinship with.

Oy....

Though watching this makes me want both a "bitch please" and "Stop being on my side" icon - both of them suits this situation here...
