there is NO REASON the entire wal-mart flashlight, bottled water, and battery sections should be empty right now. seriously, go try to buy a flashlight. they're all gone. i couldn't even get a small flashlight to keep in my car for nighttime repairs.

People are not happy to hear this because Charlie will be still be a hurricane when it gets through Gainsville and Jacksonville. My poor sister, she just moved to Jacksonville.

Not the juciest drama in the world, but amusing all the same.

I just saw Jacksonville in the news, looks like it got trashed.

Odd thing about the flashlights... last year when Isabel came through DC we ended up going out at the last minute trying to find flashlight bulbs and batteries (which we could not find, as the aisles were stripped-- nobody overreacts like a DC resident!) because all three of our flashlights died on the same night. I kid you not.

I, for one, and very disappointed Gainesville didn't get hit. The subsequential drowning of everyone who would think its 'cool' to strap a hefty bag to their back and try to fly would improve the population quality immensely.
