Religious wank on [info]customers_suck!

It begins when [info]whitedragon1983 complains about evangelists, which is something many people on the community do, but she seems to have gotten just a little too fed up with this one. Most commenters are sympathetic, although more than a few point out that she misinterpreted the constitution... and then we get to the fun stuff.

I wouldn't respect your beliefs, either!

The other guy doesn't seem so bad (though he certainly is outspoken), but the AAA (Almost An Anonymouse) poking the thread is funnier.

My view is that the line is crossed when someone starts asking me questions that really aren't any of their business.

I hate it when people get all fuzzy about Buddhism or other Eastern Religions. He got me so annoyed that I wanked on that thread. I'm so ashamed!

Yeah, I'm similar - I tend to get very annoyed when people talk about what "Confucius" said. I'm very much in love with Confucian philosophy, and I've studied it in depth, and I *hate* it when people rattle off some stupid damn 'witty' line that "Confucius say". Hate it, hate it, hate it.

In fact, my wankiest moment online is probably from a rather sad argument that I should never have started, dealing with just that issue. I just wouldn't let it drop, and neither would they, and it developed into something supremely stupid (you know, instead of just stupid). Huh, I wasn't reading f_w then. Maybe I should go check and see if it ever got posted...

I also don't like when people say Eastern religions are "trendy" or "the Next Big Thing". That kind of trivializes it...

Oh, now I'm all disillusioned about Buddhism. Seriously, I thought it was about peace and enlightenment and ending suffering by removing desire. I mean, I know there's more to it, but I was hoping I'd found a religion where there were nice people. But I guess there's just no escaping assholes, is there?
