Posting in the appropriate community this time, heh.

There's more wank at the lovely Kittypix community on LJ. I like looking at cute pictures of cats, but this community seems to be a breeding ground for drama.

Basically, the OP is offended by some "twisted humor" shirts that apparently promote animal abuse. Some people agree that the shirts are horrible, others think she's just being a drama whore for posting it, and still others say that these shirts are NOTHING compared to teh ebil of videogames.

Personally I think the shirts are in poor taste and I wouldn't buy one, but I also think that the massive amounts of drama caused by things like this are amusing.

Good God! Won't somebody shut beautifuldead the fuck up?!? Here's an independent and carefully researched analysis: she is a fucking idiot. How often can she repeat the same thing, get rightly smacked down, and come back for more without ever realizing that she sounds like a 13 year old kid with all the intellectual nuance of a PETA Barbie and her Amazing Monochromatic Dream Moped.

Yeah, I think the tees missed whatever humor they were aiming at, but it's really none of my business if other people get the joke better than me and pump lots of money into the corporation.

Christ now I want to buy one of those shirts just to piss her off.

And I love how she thinks that kids will abuse animals because they saw it on a shirt. Because tee-shirts have that power.

Yes, yes, and yes again.

I had to quit where some dumbass said that people "get the idea" to torture and kill animals from "MTV and comedy shows." Like, they're perfectly rational and caring people, but they saw Jackass and just SNAPPED. "Oh wait, yesterday I was perfectly rational and intelligent, but today I think torturing animals is wrong, because the TV show told me so."

They were crude stick-drawings with slogans like, "Sometimes I glue random things, like my cat's butt to the ceiling." And the one that really incurred the OP's wrath was one that said, "Don't kick a cat...unless it's pregnant."

That might not be it exactly but words to that effect.

Okay, I didn't find the shirts funny but they didn't fill me with rage either.
