Baseball wank!
Note: as a New England-bred lurker I have some vague regional loyalty to the Sox, but I think this bias is fairly well balanced by my opinion of sports in general as incredibly silly.

So, much to the entire country's surprise, the Boston Red Sox win a game. Over on LJ, [info]padraiceen gloats over this in a mildly amusing fashion, and [info]girlxfriday metaquotes him/her.

Then the Yankees fans start coming out of the woodwork, incensed that the Sox fans don't know their place, which is sitting in Hahvahd Yahd eating chowdah, apparently.

Not to mention OMG we're not sore losers! You're sore losers! Shut up shut up shut up! MOOOOOOOM!

All this over a bunch of guys chasing a ball around.

ETA: Now with gratuitous scrolling pictures of marine life adhering to people's genitals?!

Dude. This is the most fun I've had all week. XD

It's not like the Yankees haven't destroyed the Sox for up to 100 years. Geez, guys, let 'em lift The Curse already. I'm in NY and I can tell you there were many angry drunk people in the streets last night. A NY fireman chewed me out for rootin' for the Sox.

Wow, fans of one sports team trash-talking the opposing sports team after a historic win? This is certainly unusual in the sports world and deserving of outrage! Why those Sox fans should be ashamed of themselves, cheering their own team like that! Everyone knows that if they were good sports the people of Boston would be speaking in hushed tones, covering their mirrors, and wearing black armbands to show their solemn regret for beating the Yankees.

Well, kielle's on birthday vacation for the weekend, so she can't come in to freeze threads. Kind of a pain, but when Sunday night rolls around, we'll get to see her boggle at baseball wank, yay!


also, it's very very sad when someone calls someone you've known for 7 years (and had friended on LJ for 3) a "whiny drama whore" who has an "inner world where people behave in exactly the right way to make [her] feel superior" and you agree.
