I'm using the food metaphor 'cause it's Snacky's birthday
Take one 'Streghe' who barely knows how to write Italian. Add to one group of 'Non-Fluffy Pagans', including at least one Italian. Add outrage. Stir. Let simmer.

Bon appetit.

Ciao amici! I am a witchio! From a generations old Italian familial tradition. My great-great-great-great grandfather fought the Spaniards in the Inquisition. He lost his leg to the Armada and sailed to L'America on a Viking ship. My nonna taught me "la vecchia tradizione", and we sacrifice fettuccine on Sundays - yes, we spill blood. Roma! Robert Loggia. Luigi. Why don't you like me?

Oh nyet, muy belladona! Eppur si Wicca, but cosi fan tutti. Me own ancestorum, they of the fair locks and tenubra oculum, they fought your great-grandfather, but they were non Hispaniola. Tu maketh too much verily of their instruments du plaisir, that which you call torture weapons yet they call tickling thy fancy, ah pulcher, pulchrum, they were all fools. But come cum me, yes, and be mi amore, and ve vill all de plaisirs sprackpruven. See, I do likes you, I do.

Yours,

Dear god. All I can think of is Hermione-Sue, Soggy-Wristed-Snape, and Bad Harry Potter Fic when I see that now.

I can't even read the posts and appreciate the wank. Damn Harry Potter. >.<

The Fundies are right. Harry Potter IS teh evil. He creeps into your life constantly.

Pawn to Queen, by Riley, currently on hiatus/discontinued. I'll admit that I've never read it, but apparently it's adored by half the HG/SS shippers and hated by the other half. See the Deleterius sporking of same for an idea of the 'anti' side.

Thank you so much for posting the Deleterius link. That just provided me with such an amusing little evening!

I think we can safely say discontinued now. I don't think Riley is going to write any more PtQ.

Honey, I think you might want to check whether that belladonna you're smoking isn't off. Way off. Your grandmother's too.

Debunked myth numero uno: we know quite a lot about the Etruscans actually, including rituals, lore and language. So both you and Valerio Massimo Manfredi can quit it with the OMGMR.E!

Debunked myth numero due: we managed our own witch hunts.

Debunked myth numero tre: magic is still practiced in Italy. You know, us girls invite the boy we lurve over for coffee and slip a pube in his cup. He is then ours FOREVER AND EVER. Amen.

Debunked myth numero quattro: "Streghe" means witches. That's ALL. No sekrit religion, no sekrit knowledge preserved over the centuries by chosen sekrit families, nada. And this comes from a girl who lives by a hill with a cave in it called "Bus de la stria" (Hole of the Witch). If you really think you should set up residence give me a call and I'll help you clear out the wax and blood from all those black masses. It's quite spacious, if a little rank.

And please, "fractures"? If you'd written "bills" I might have given you bonus points for attempted use of a dictionary. It's "fatture", IDIOT.

The interesting fact is the
Celtic languages are divided into two branches: Goedelic or Gaelic
(Irish, Scots Gaelic, Manx), and the Brythonic (Welsh, Cornish, and
Breton). Both being not of Latin descent. Some say these are Anglo-
Saxon based Languages.

Buh?

There are things that I was taught by my family like Magia dell'ombra or l'erba della paura that requires to go into depth and yes, spill blood. We are a very passionate peoples.
