Abortion Wank!
Inspired by [info]political_wank, ended up browsing through [info]conservatism. It was cool to see some reasonable posts there, until I stumbled across this jem.

Oh, Value Voters.. how I love the way you bring the wank.

[info]stupify_me is the main harbinger of wank in this one. Witness the way he asks for responsability [sic]! The way he insists that adoption is far better than abortion, because OMG people are lining up in DROVES to adopt! (4-5+ year olds don't count.)

Oh, and always remember, it's not assy to tell these people to put their 'unwanted' kids up for adoption, when he himself is Isn't prepared to take said adoptees into his household.

There's more, and I'd give more summaries, but I think my brain's broken..

See, here's my take.

Unless one has a uterus, one should shut the fuck up about the abortion issue.

If you're a husband, and you want to talk it over with your wife, that's fine. That's good.

But any other little bit of self-important thimbledicked clod-pated lunk-knobbed manflesh who deigns to think he has any business at all lecturing ANYONE about abortion ought to be summarily muzzled. And then spanked. Mheh heh heh.

Goodness, I never stopped to think about the mental picture.

D'you think He keeps them in a little jar?

Also, very much agreed on your first comment.

"lunk-knobbed"

What?

It sounds vaguely unpleasant, but I've got nothing. Is it hideous?

XD

It's...I forget where I picked it up. It's synonymous with 'blockheaded; or 'lunkheaded'. But it does sound painful XD

Unless one has a uterus, one should shut the fuck up about the abortion issue.

Would one with a uterus be allowed to say one thinks that's crap?

[info]rogue

Why is it crap? I'm sorry, but men can't even begin to fathom the issue, because it simply does not effect them in the way it effects women.

But on the note of not wanting men to decide to fate of my uterus, I don't want women deciding anything about it, either. The only person who makes decisions about my reproductivity around here is me.

But it did! That's why I exist! Wouldn't hold it against parentals if they'd have gone for the uterinal scrape, though, BECAUSE I WOULDN'T EXIST AND THEREFORE WOULD KNOW NOTHING ABOUT IT OMG.

Whenever people make the 'aren't you glad your parents didn't abort YOU?', my response is 'and aren't you glad that your mom didn't have a headache that night? Because if your parents hadn't had sex that night, you wouldn't exist either.'

I think my views on abortion seem really callous though. And maybe they are. Maybe I am eeeevil. But hey, I'm not making laws.

My mom was bullied by her parents into not aborting my tiny defenseless fetus-self.

And now they all hate me.

I adoption is a good thing, however it is NOT the end-all be-all of BC and I wish more people would realize that giving a kid up for adoption isn't going to guarantee the child a wonderful, happy life.

Especially if that child isn't white, or an infant.

Tell me about it. Am I glad to be alive, sure, I don't wish I was aborted or anything.

But that doesn't change the fact that my adoptive parents were both alcoholics and one of them I have been ordered to have no contact with by my psychiatrist. (Luckily, they're divorced, so this isn't difficult.)

I like the ravenclaw girl. *pets*

ValuesVoters.com brings together those who believe that traditional values matter.
Yeah, like beating your wife and disowning your gay child. Gotta love those values! I hope something very very bad happens to the OP for making that kind of post with that kind of icon.

To be guided by religion isn't inherently stupid, it is inherently moral.
If being guided by religion isn't inherently stupid, then thinking that the only way to have a system of morals is through being guided by a religion IS.

Not to mention that most people talk about 'being guided by religion' or how 'they like to see a religious candidate', they mean 'MY religion'.

From this article that someone linked to.

In the toy department, shoppers may find new "gay and lesbian" friends of Barbie and Ken, who will probably split up their long romance until group relationships for youth become the next inevitability.

That's funny. Do you know why that's funny? Because Barbie and Ken have already split up. I work in a toy store. Barbie has a new "special friend", an aussie surferdude called Blaine.

Yes indeed. Of course, in my little dolly-world, Ken is busy seducing Blaine away from Barbie. "Payback's a bitch," says he, heading off into the sunset with Blaine as Barbie weeps on the shoulder of [insert random ethnic friend here].

The scary part is that I probably would have enacted the same scenario when I was 10. Vindictive, me? ::sweet smile:: The ValuesVoters crew never had a chance at selling me their so-called values.

I have to laugh at this, as a Barbie and other fashion doll collector.

If these dolls aren't supposed to be lesbians, then why don't they make enough male characters to go around for all the female characters?

There's Barbie, Midge, Christie, Francie, PJ, Stacey (the adult), Kelley (the adult), Steffie, Skipper (the little girl), Skooter, Skipper (the teenager), Kira, Teresa, Tori, Chelsie, Stacie (the little girl), Tutti (the little girl), Kelly (the baby), assorted celebrities, Shani, Asha, Nichelle, and so on.

In the male line there have been Ken, Allen (Midge's husband), Brad or Steven (Christie's boyfriend), Derek, Blaine, and a few little boys, Ricky and Todd and some baby boys that baby Kelly hangs out with.

Clearly a lot of them are lesbians. Or very frustrated.

Especially since we all know that Ken and Barbie are both doing GI Joe.
