Sweetie, questioning me is a waste of my time
In another entry in the "If you don't agree with me, you're stupid (or a sexist pig or a useless woman who lets sexist pigs rule her)" files, we have [info]ginmar's take on prostitution. The wank comes in when people disagree with her argument that prostitution is teh ebil and must be BANNED FOR LIFE. These threads quickly quickly devolve until the only rebuttal left is "your reading comprehension sucks!" or "stop wasting my time!"

It just wouldn't be a complete wank without an anonymouse, now would it?

I'm willing to bet she's never held a conversation with a sex worker in her entire life.

This crossed my mind, too. Your answer:

ginmar: I lived in a neighborhood with prostitutes. I read about them, observed them, talked to many people who helped them and studied them.

You'll notice she never says anything about actually TALKING to them. Of course, if she did and they told her she was blowing smoke out her ass, she'd just call them "entitled little shits," too. (I love how people have to be super polite to her OR ELSE BE BANNED, but she can be so rude to them as to make me embarrassed for her. The "it's my journal and I can do whatever I want" argument is moaning from the strain.)

Kyahahaha. I love being right.

Though the mental image of her walking up to one of the crack ho's she used to "observe" and saying, "sweetie you need to stop doing this and go get a real job right now!" makes me laugh.

Actually, it's the part where the crack ho punches her in the face right after she says that that makes me laugh, but never mind.

You're not the only one. I'm chortling with so much glee over that image, I think I'm about to pull something. Then again, mine has a voice over of Emeril going "BAM!" as the punch connects, which may be part of that.
