Bedtime for Wankers
Is this pregnancy wank? Is this grammar wank? Is this just asshat wank? YOU be the judge!

On Metaquotes, bitter_Crimson quotes dana_may thusly:

"Have you biten anyone else on you hall?"
"ah..I don't know. I dont keep a 'bite list'"

"refering back to the 'bite list,' as a pregnant woman, I would honestly have a problem if you went up to me and bit me"
"well, I dont bite random people. I don't have rabies."

Then Counly takes offence to it:

"Is that to imply that if she were NOT a pregnant woman, she would NOT have a problem, or that only pregnant people should be unbitten?

Dudes. Just say "I wouldn't like it". You don't need to stick idiotic qualifiers onto your statements."

And continues to wank with Amandathegreat until bedtime.

Oh for fuck's sake. Is there anything that doesn't cause conuly to take offense? She's wanking with the panties she's twisted into a knot.

And I read "well, I dont bite random people. I don't have rabies." as "well, I dont bite random people. I don't have babies."

Have baby. Must bite people.

As much as it pains me I do partially agree with Counly.

It is a bit irritating when someone goes 'because I'm _____ I don't like/don't do ______'.

I wonder what being pregnant has to do with not wanting to be randomly bitten though.

I mean I'm sure there are plenty of non-pregnant people who don't want to be bitten either.

Though whatever point Counly was trying to make it was ruined by her inability to know when to shut up.

And just to add to the wank said quote struck me as being pretty lame IMO.

Like, right at the beginning? What is it with the holy mission to clean Metaquotes from every quote that you, personally, do not relish?

I actually read it as she was sympathizing with the person quoted, who was having a time of it not laughing at the same weirdness that so vexed Counly.

Of course, I cut out the middle (wo)man and just bite babies, so what do I know?

I'm just confused by the number of "what's wrong with her for not wanting to be bitten?" comments. I always thought that friendly biting was more of, I don't know, a dog thing.

Yeah. While I can agree that 'just because you're pregnant, you don't like to be bitten' makes no sense, I also am confused why she should like to be bitten in the first place.

Pardon me, but if someone bit me, even playfully, I would probably punch them in the face. Then again, that's just me. YMMV.

Pretty much agreed on the reaction to being bitten, as I once slapped a friend of mine for doing it. Needless to say, he never did it again.

(Damnit, I'm still automatically reading YMMV the wrong way. Which made that funnier than you likely intended it to be.)

I had a friend who would bite people as a sign of affection. She was unique like that. I also had a big fat crush on her. But anyway, the whole friendly biting thing doesn't bother me if it's a friend.
