Anit-Anit-Feminism Wank!
There's this site, and it's called Ladies Against Feminism. They're basically, well, a bunch of ladies, um...against feminism...

This site is dedicated to the proposition that men and women are not identical creatures. Are we equal in human worth? Yes. Equal before the throne of grace? Absolutely. Equal in dignity? Indeed. But when it all boils down to it, if you insist that "equal" means exactly the same, you will have to fly in the face of biology, historical fact, biblical Truth and just plain common sense. In many ways, woman is not equal to man; and, by the same token, man is not equal to woman. They are different creatures with differing roles. Will we complement each other in our distinctive, God-given roles, or will we tear each other to shreds in a territorial dispute? L.A.F. promotes the former. We are for maidenhood, modesty, virtue, intelligence, womanly arts and femininity. Join the new revolution!

Basically, they're conservative women spouting their views verrrry politely. I'm actually all for them. They're standing up for what they believe in, they're making me giggle and they're not trying to make us all beaten housewives, damnit. But hell, why read dislaimers? Things don't get wanky enough if we read disclaimers!

There are three letter sections in LAF: Gracious Encouragement[FAPFAPFAP], Cogent Commentary[questions and such] and Scorching Notes[Flame ON!]. LAF's method of recieving flames is particularly funny to me - they precede them with a page-long note about LAF's vies and then post them with few replies or commentary. Instead, they take out all the expletives and insert [sic] where errors are, which struck me as particularly venomous in a subtle way. See here for examples:

this makes me sick, i hate this website, it is so wrong! the way women dress today is fine, u dress like you should be in a bordello or something. women are not the weaker sex, ppl that think they are the weaker sex ARE THE WEAKER SEX. u r the kind of ppl that make me want to kill someone :|

[She's in homicidal rage and she isn't even making a frowny face??]

I heard about this site from a friend in a Feminist group and she told me about this place.I may be 15 years old but I think that what I have to say is importent [sic].Us [sic] women are just as independent as men if not more and your [sic] saying that us [sic] women should follow the bible and listen to everything men say.We have to be slaves to men right. We can't do anyhting [sic] on our own?Thats [sic] not right! We should have a right to speak out.All us Feminist [sic] have to say is that we have a right to vote,we have a right to have jobs just like men do instead of staying at home and cooking all day!Why do you call your selves anti-feminist when feminists speak out about their rights like your [sic] doing now.Thank you.

[sicsiciscsicsic!!!]

you bunch of tea drinking bible bashers.

[...but is it orgasmic tea?]

this website was created by a man who is sexistand ignorant and doesnt relise [sic] that women are not beautiful, are not ugly but angry and its [sic] time that all us women take a stand and put sexist pigs like you down. EQUAL RIGHTS FOR WOMEN!

[You...you...MAN!!1]

while there are women like you around, men will think they can do what they like, which is't much fun for the rest of us. that's real neighborly of you, you bible thumping fishwives

[...fishwives?]

We were frankly horrified to find your site on the web. Should you not spend your time beautifying your husband's homes, thinking up delicious meals and trying out new cosmetic preparations? Surely a lady's perogative lies in being an object in society rather than wasting time ramming your opinions down others throats in a most immodest fashion. We feel that use of the Internet is neither feminine nor decorative.

Yours
Two 'ladies' with legs akimbo in a universe parallel to your own

[AHAHAHAHAAAAAA!]

See? It's funny, it's silly, it's...fishy? It's WANK!

I think my favorite 'Ladies Against Feminism' stunt was a few years back during budget cuts they held a bake sale, proceeds to DoD.

A bake sale? A BAKE SALE?

Was this an internet bake sale or a real-life bake sale? Either way, I <3 the LAF!

I believe it was a real bake sale - I read about it ages ago - they even had DoD prices; y'know like $500 brownies, $300 rice crispie squares...

Seeing as it was really WAF instead of LAF that did the IRL bake sale, I think LAF should go ahead with the internet bake sale.

Mmmm. e-brownies.

::stares at the icon:: OMG! Is that a diagram of Kennedy's assassination and their fly-in-the-face-of-physics bullshit descriptions of how the bullets flew?

Yep yep. I do believe that's the Warren Commission's ludicrous Magic Bullet diagram . . .

(I have to know these things, I'm married to a conspiracy theory maniac who likes to pontificate at great length to me about the JFK assassination.)

I'm not a theory maniac, but the JFK assassination is a Shiny Thing for me, mainly because even before I'd fired my first gun, back when I was still in third grade, I saw the film of the assassination on TV, and was all "WTF?" when they were talking about him being hit from behind by a lone gunman. I'm looking at the way the body's moving, and saying "That ain't right..."

Yet people seemed to buy it. o_O

And at the same time, I haven't encountered a single theory that didn't seem to have propoganda attached, and make consistent sense without ignoring things that didn't fit.

I think I'm more of a mystery buff than a conspiracy theorist. ^_^

Not wanting to start a Kennedy wank ('cause he's still dead either way), but wasn't there a Nova a few years back in which experimentors actually replicated the behavior of the magic bullet?

Heck if I know. I rarely watch PBS anymore because for some reason, either the signal we get from it has the captioning all frelled up, or they have second-rate caption typists.

But it sounds interesting...

Yes, because that's what ALL feminists mean when they say "women are equal to men". What they're really saying is "Women, in spite of all evidence to the contrary, have a penis and not a vagina. Also testicles. The breasts are merely a clever subterfuge. Obviously it worked. Go us."

Give 'em an inch; they'll take a mile.

How long do you think it'll take before they get the idea to ban bikinis because they're not "modest", and we have to start wearing those bathing suits that cover the entire body save hands, feet and head (y'know; the ones from the turn of the 20th century)?

I'm not sure, but I think this is a parody site, like Landover Baptist. It was featured on the Weekly Nutwatch some months ago, and several people apparently wrote the MST's author to say it wasn't real (on a message board thread that I'm too lazy to dig up).
