I'm so sick of seeing everyone copying ONE icon maker's style. You know, they have to bust their ASSES to keep original, and then everyone and their brother comes along and wants to do the same thing as them. And I'm not just saying Calixa or other "BNF Icon Makers", there are some other damn good original icon makers out there, and people are constantly trying to copy their styles. Maybe if instead of constantly trying to keep up with the good icon makers, you just created something all on you wouldn't need icon_tutorial.

And then there's little old me looking at the icon she used with that comment, and thinking, "Oh GEE, I'm sure you were the first one EVAR to think of using the font ARIAL BLACK in all capital letters in combination with the PIN LIGHT EFFECT and WHITE BOXES AND BORDERS! U R SOOO ORIGINAL I WORSHIP U OMG!111!!!!1"

HERE'S AN ICON I MADE IS IT ORIGINAL?????? VALIDATE ME!!!1!1!1!

OMG, this is hilarity to me, because writethestars is the co-mod of another comm I'm in, and quite frankly 3/4ths of the comm sees her as a control freak evil bitch. In fact, there has been incredible wank in that community, but most of it involves her, sooner or later...

The wank on that comm involves deleted threads, kicking people out of the comms with no warning and no explanation, massive flame wars between her and various sub-mods...on and on and on.

Quite frankly, the comm would run a lot better without her, as the head mod is not nearly so stupid when she is not around. (Hint: she's one of those people who thinks she's OMGsomature, and you know as soon as someone invokes the M word in reference to themselves, they really are not.)

And now that I've been incredibly wanky myself... wank in icon tutorial communities is just _sad_.

	Okay, I actually read the thread now. writethestars: Mary, really... I think you're getting way too defensive. I'm trying to give you some advice here. Is it just me, or can said "advice" be translated as "OMG U SUCK U EVIL COPIER"?
