Yes They Did
In the community Oh No They Didn't!, a post with pics of Sarah Michelle Gellar pigging out on pasta turns into a wank over that age old question, Is nigga really an offensive term? Who should be offended and who, exactly, gets to decide?

Personally, I think it's like a tootsie pop, the world may never know. But feel free to kick back and watch as the opposing sides lube up and face off.

Thanks! I love that version of the book. It was illustrated by Dodgson himself, did you know? (Thus I take his visualizations as "canon". I'm silly.) And while I scanned my base from a complete works of Lewis Carrol thingy, I later found this, an amazing resource. Now I have no excuse to make icons except for far too much RL work...

Ahaha, that's my super cryptic icon made of so many wild mental associations I can keep count. Uh, I tend to do that with icons.

Soo, Anthy's drinking Kozue's milkshake, the way she's stealing her beloved brother from her. Icon goddesses supposedly have their 100x100 pixels masterpieces stolen from them all the times, or their revolutionary washed out photoshop styles. And then some concerned fan says "Dun steel!", and I wondered, Anthy's a goddess in her own right, isn't she? So, er, play on words... crypticism is so hard.

I think [info]love_technician's magical ability to see through the computer screen to determine a poster's race would come in pretty handy. It would clear up that whole his/her problem with replying, too.

I wonder if [info]love_technician can see through clothes, too, because that would be extra-handy...

I was once punched in the face for saying "Nigga please" at a dance club. Sure, I'm white and I was saying it to one of my black friends--Mike thinks it's hilarious when I use slang--but the guy that hit me was as lily white as I am!

I might've been out of line by being politically incorrect in public, I suppose, but... well, geez.

On the bright side, Mike, who was being saved from the big bad racist little girl, chased the crazy guy off.

The person arguing against the use of the word "nigga" or "nigger" or whatever is not very coherent... I don't agree with the word either, but I don't think s/he's making a very good case. ...Not that the other person is, either, but...

And doesn't the part about lubing up in the original post here imply that things are going smoothly? lol no lube, no lube!

I like how she's wanking left and right about how offensive "nigga" is, even when it's clearly not being used as an insult, and then when someone disagrees with her she refers to the other girl as "the Cuban slut."

Because that's not offensive or politically incorrect, or anything.
