LiveJournal Wank!
The darkest hour is just before dawn. While things are being adjusted in order to improve the overall site performance, a few things are going down temporarily - like friendlists.

wolfmansiriuswolfmansirius has issues with this.

"Hurry up!" he says. "I get crappy bandwidth and downtimes!"

Sounds like a normal bitchrant? There's more.

He's worried about a friend when he could just, yanno, go directly to their journal, and gets charged $100 for a ten minute phone call.

There's the obligatory insulting of freeloaders users.

Someone offers a good idea - but no, it's not that easy. He doesn't know the person that well.

And then it turns into a furry-bashing fest, and moves on to a discussion about the kinds of sexual toys Gadget of the Rescue Rangers could make.

And saner furries start telling them both that they're assholes.

The sheer WTF factor from this guy amuses me to no end.

Speaking of freeloading whiners, this bitch</i> cops an attitude because her friends page is down on her birthday, and tells Brad to "see that it doesn't happen again."

And then we have miserystalker, aka Captain Obvious, who notices that most of the comments have nothing to do with the problem and are just stupid crap, and brings this to our attention...with another comment that qualifies as "stupid crap."

I just saw this spoogefest myself, and was about to post it when...yup. Oh, and the parent thread is pushing 1000 posts now, and I'm sure there's more wank in there someplace.

As for the subject matter? Argggggh. Whenever anything changes on LJ, all the wankers come out, but this is the most OMGWTF (as well as the most stereotypically "furry") thread I've seen in a while. I don't think I've seen anyone whine this much about LJ since the comment limits were put into place.

Yeah, really. Any time major changes happen, the whining and bleating starts. It was nice seeing patient, understanding people on there this time around, though.

Wordy word word. I've gotten to hating that term myself, especially because I don't really consider myself a "furry" in the sense that it makes me better than everyone else (you'd not be surprised how many furs take this way too seriously). A lot of my online friends identify as furries, but they don't look down their noses at mundanes unless they're actively bashing the fandom (and sometimes not even then, since furry is such a bukkake-fest these days that some constructive criticism is perfectly okay).

As for me? I'm usually just me, and I don't think being "mundane" is all that bad.

Indeed. There seem to be a lot of them over in communitycustomers_suck as well, though most of the furry c_s posters (with the one or two exceptions noted here and on [info]fandom_wank) are perfectly okay.

Tsk tsk on the name-calling.

I was just joking around on the road kill thing. Actually, I consider myself to be moderate. For instance I oppose forced spaying and neutering... although if a furry can be educated on the advantages of sterilization then by all means it should be available to them. And of course I support basic government-subsidized veterinary care and up to six years of separate-but-equal education.

I dislike furries but I don't really want to get rid of them. I'm sure that there are some niches in our society that furries could fill. You probably wouldn't want one piloting your jet liner or arguing your case in court, of course, but it seems like they'd be quite good at gathering vegetables or perhaps digging holes.

Meh. I used to be a free user, and probably would be still if a friend hadn't bought my time. I just think that the annoying, bitchy complainers who feel they are entitled to perfect service need to be shot. Of course, paid users who are annoying, bitchy complainers don't get much more sympathy from me either...

And as to the wank: BWAHAHAHA! As someone who was in the furry fandom before I realized what it was, this cracks me up. I honestly never met a creepy furry, nor one as asshole-ish as this guy until coming to F_W. Now they're all over the place!
