Also, this person has never played tennis, period. Sure, you may look prim and proper, but you run a lot and thus sweat just as much as any other sport. Also, unless you're playing doubles, you have no one else to blame but yourself if you lose. Not to mention, I've never thought of tennis as a sport for liberals, necessarily.

Besides, football is one of the most unintentionally homoerotic sports there is, anyway. I mean, they wear tight pants, plus there's a position called the "tight end". I mean, seriously!

God, I don't even usually enjoy watching sport, but I still remember seeing an Olympic match where one of the players suddenly came down with an awful leg cramp from exhaustion (from playing too many matches, the commentators speculated). They thought he was going to collapse and lose at any moment. I couldn't bear to watch ...

Hours later, I flipped back to the same channel, and the guy was still playing. AND HE WON. He collapsed onto the court like a second after he did. He looked like he was about to die happy.

If that's a girly, feel-good sport, I have no fucking idea what's manly.

	Bah. I hate it when people gloat that they can't join the military because of asthma, but that's probably just my bitterness showing through. (My life plan had been to attend the Air Force Academy and end up in the Space Program, but an allergic reaction to some meds in my teens gave me asthma, and crushed that dream.) Ever notice how conservative guys seem to play tougher, more intense sports like football or basketball, while liberals like feel-good, girly sports like tennis? Not to mention more conservatives are into hunting and fishing, as opposed to ballet (and aren't almost all male ballet dancers gay?) I wonder why that is? Makes me think this is the reason the military leans so heavily conservative: they're REAL men ;)
