Over in NYC, some shock DJS on a R&B and hip-hop station played a "version" of "We Are The World" with rather tasteless lyrics (the news story is here, in case you haven't heard), containing such lines such as "swim you bitches, swim" and using the slur "chink". People are pissed, and eventually the DJs are made to apologize (thinly) and give up a week of pay to the tsunami efforts. (But remember, only white people can be racist. *eyeroll*) This, of course, shows up on blackfolk.

Most people are offended and see the apology as a piss poor apology. firebird, on the other hand, finds it funny. Wank ensues.

Ah, blackfolk never cease to amuse me.

EDIT: It appears that at least the main DJ has been "suspended indefinately."
